  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone else had an issue with the air coming out of the heater on the driver's side (heater, vent or defroster, all the same) coming out a lot less warm (about 10 degrees F) than the air coming out of the corresponding passenger side vents? Just had my car (2010 4.6 with tech package) in the shop for a couple of days - they had to contact Hyundai Canada to figure out what to do and the verdict was to replace the thermostat. Air is still coming out a lot cooler - passenger side at max feels like it could burn you but the driver's side feels like 73-74 F at best. Air coming out of rear heater can get just as hot as front passenger.

My '09 Gennie has always been like that. I thought it was to keep me from being warm and cozy sorta like ready for a nap. Makes me wonder if I should say anything next time I take her in for service...

i just got my 2010 4.6 back from dealer service for seat heater. My issue has been it kicks off after about 3 minutes without ever heating up. Dealer looked at it and said they could not find anything. tested the temp, says 118 degrees is correct. Drove it yesterday and it is doing it again...
guess im going back!

My 2010 4.6 has the driver side heat and cooling shut off after about 5-10 seconds. The dealer can't find the problem, and I've been waiting for a month with no update (or replacement).

Now the speaker doesnt work when using the bluetooth...I'm starting to wonder if it's time to make lemonade.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Mine seat warmer went out, the lights on the button were flashing when I was trying to turn it on. Dealer said that they would replace the button and that would fix it... it did not, they now ordered a new seat, we will see what happens next.
They are also still trying to fix the automatic position of the steering wheel, this has been a problem on and off for more than 1 year.
Other than that it is a great car.

Just got the car back - the deal er replaced the switches for the heater/cooler - said the thermocouplers was off spec (the switch also contains the sensor, apparently).

To fix the bluetooth audio, we just deleted the phone pairings and re-paired the phones. This worked (weird).

I hope the car has made its last visit to the dealer for a while. All I am waiting on now is a strut cover -- I keep losing one and that allows road dirt into the engine compartment.

just thought i would update...the car has been back 3 times now for drivers seat heater. 1. dealer replaced switch...duh, on passengaer side. 2. dealer replaced switch on drivers side, picked up vehicle and drove about a mile and heater kicked off (same problem) After investigating since the dealer says they tested and it works...it's me!! serious...im 6'2", 208..for some reson my weight is causing something to kick it off..wont do it for smaller in statures. 3. dealer has the car and trying to figure it out.

Have them check for faulty high-temp cut-off. Most seat heaters have one to avoid fires from overheating. Sometimes they get too sensitive and cut off at lower temps.

Nick, I have the same problem as you. I have not used my AC yet, but when I have heater turned off, heat still comes out the driver's side vent. My only work around is to close off the vent. I have not had this in to the dealer yet, but will when I have a couple more things for them to look at.

it was the tubes flattening. the crazy part about it was it only occured in my memory seat position and only when i sat in it. talk about frustrating to prove.

I saw mentioned that the spring fix requires 3 3/4"x3" springs and that the seat has to be taken apart. Does anyone know exactly how to fix this, how the springs need to be aligned? I tried searching YouTube, but nobody has a video I could find showing how to perform this fix. If I can get the info, I'll post a video on YouTube of the repair for others to use as a guide for their own DIY.
