I've got an 06 Infiniti G35 6MT coupe sport package. Bought it used. Has 89k miles. Love it, but its burning oil. I'm thinking about unloading it.
I've got about $20k to spend.
Looks like I can get a 2010 low mileage 2.0T R-Spec for about that much.
The car will primarily be a daily driver but I will also be taking it to road courses for track day weekends about 5 - 6 times a year. The G is not an ideal track car but plenty of fun.
The obvious difference is about 90 hp and over a second 0-60. But, if I understand the R-Spec has Brembos and a real LSD.
Is the turbo lag bad on the 2.0T?
I love the power of the G but if the 2.0T is capable on the track it might be worth looking into. Otherwise I'll be looking into a 07-08 350Z.
Any experience/advice on the 2.0T much appreciated.
