2012 genesis sedan - price paid

Just got a quote as following:

2012 Genesis 3.8L with Premium and Tech packages

MSRP : 43,950.00

Offer 37,565.00 Plus TTL after applying all the incentives.

Life time oil changed and regular recommended services included at the dealership only.

Can anyone help me as I really like the vehicle but I think some people are bettering this deal by 1500 to 2000 bucks.

Please help with some numbers fellas to make me a proud genesis owner instead of chrysler 300 which seems to be about 3-4 k cheaper but questionable reliability ?

Thank you all in advance.

rosunny, take another look at the prices others are paying because you are mistaken. Your deal is an excellent deal and I would definitely go for it. You are getting free oil changes which others, including myself, sometimes get. But you are also getting free scheduled maintenance which few of us get. You may want to ask if they'll do free oil changes at 7500 miles or 3750 intervals.

The others paying $1500-$2000 less that you refer to are getting the 3.8 with either tech or premium but not both. The post right before yours shows a price paid higher than yours for a car that stickers for $80 more. Go for it.

One last thing. I didn't even look at the 300 because I don't like Chrysler and I don't like the exterior looks of the 2012 300. But I've read their interiors are as nice as Hyundai and I would bet their electronics are better. The 300 is much improved.

Thank you LA Genesis,
I appreciate your quick response. I have been juggling between maxima, genesis and chrysler 300. Chrysler 300 interior has no competition with its electronics and yeah the prices is almost 3-4 ka less when negotiated. You do get less resale but the way they made 2012 we should see very lil but still improvement.
For Maxima, I cant find a better deal than MAxima which is 9500 off MSRP and I am getting great tread in which is more then private party value.

If I get equal deal on my trade at Hyundai I will get it today. With so many of you guys being in Love with genesis, I dont think I will go much wrong with it.

Again Thanks a ton,
RoSunny

LA,
Took your advice and purchased it. Though Nissan was offering me a deal which was about 6k better. I played a gamble to see if Genesis becomes a future premium vehicle like lexus or acura. Not to say exact same class but a better recognized label with higher reliability and resale.

Could you shed some light on rebadge as dealer did not have the badge but would rebadge it for me if I get it myself.
Thanks
Sunny

Happy New Year all!

I just wanted to send out a collective Thank You to the participants on this forum. Armed with the great information on the Hyundai Circle pricing and Motozuma, I took delivery yesterday on a beautiful 2012 platinum metallic Tech 3.8 with cargo tray, wheel locks, and iPod cable for $37,750 before taxes and license fees. The dealer, Atlantic Hyundai, is a ways out on Long Island from my home in NYC, but they were terrific to work with and worth the trip. Can’t wait to get the new Genny out of the City this weekend and get to know her better!

2012 3.8 + ipod cable, wheel locks & trunk liner

$29,421 + TTL

What a car!

Rosunny

You got a very good deal.

Similar to what I paid but you got the oil changes.

Good luck
i think you will love the car I do and

i have an 07 maxims which has been a great car but the Genesis is a different league

How'd you guys negotiate for the oil change + regular maintenance? I got my local dealer to get down to $37,800 for the prem+tech, he was going to throw in rebadging the car? Has anyone done that?

I just got a CPO 2009 4.6 Tech with 40K miles for $23,200 with all fees but without tax. How is the price?

Paid $39,404.18
inc. Ipod, cargo tray, window tint, mud guards, sunroof wind deflector, nitrogen in the tires. $1,500.00 rebate

Just leased a satin pearl white/black leather 2012 genesis 5.0 premium package and this car is blowing the competition away. MSRP was 48500 and walked out the door paying 42500 after rebates and also good friends with the GM. The amnesties this car has compared to its competitors....well just to say it has no rival. Every other competitor is in the 80000 plus range. I am comfortable with the deal I made. And maybe look forward to keeping this car after my lease paying 530 tax in and came to the table with inceptions and great credit. I wanted to put on the KDM steering wheel air bag cover but they told me it would void my warranty...? Can some one answer this just want a second opinion. Thanks. P.S. lexus, Mercedes, BMW, inf

Hard to figure why the MSRP on a 5.0 premium is more than an R-Spec which is a 5.0 Tech car.

Maybe there has been a price increase since I bought the R-Spec.

BTW, congratulations on the new car.

Thanks bro, price diffrence was like 1800 bucks for R spec, but they didn't have a white/black in Florida. So I went with 2012 5.0 that was available in another county that was like an hour 1/2 away so yeah. The car is great just changed the badges and doing the tints as I post. Will put up pictures as soon as its done.
