  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Not bad, not bad at all. I would have seriously considered this had it been available when I bought my Genesis.

They should name it Buick.

kia always comes up with a better looking design than hyundai...IMO

rio
optima
sportage
and now this

I prefer my Mercedes grille to this Buick grille with the Pep Boys front fender ports.

BMW grill, Buick portholes and Sonata rear end.

I stick with my Genesis.

Yep, agree 100 %. Why everyone wants the non functional fender ports I have no idea. I see the pepboys stickon's on just about everything around here. I'm glad that Hyundai didn't use them. On my Pontiac G8, they had the turn signal built into them.

They were used back in the 40/50's and disappeared for a reason. However some of them back in the day did look good, but they just don't fit with todays body styles. God forbid, let's just hope they don't start trying to put louvers in them.

I don't see hopw the rear end is anything like the Sonata's (the new GS, otoh, does have a Sonata-ish rear).

If the Kia designers just didn't add that kink at the bottom of the headlights (making the headlights appear overly large) and went more with the interlocking grill treatment (like on the cee'd) instead of the vertical slats and got rid of those portholes, would be an overall more sleek design than the Genesis.

This should have been the grill treatment.

I bought the optima sx instead of the sonata, but I dont think I would take a K9 over the Equus. JMO

I wouldn't take the K9 over the Equus either - but I might take it over the Genesis.

K9? Kia's top dog?

Change the grill treatment on the K9 (do away w/ those vertical slats and go w/ the more sporty interlocking grill treatment) and the K9 looks more modern and sleek than the Genesis (and esp. the Equus).

Also has a higher grade interior as well, but too bad the dash design is as outdated as those in the Genesis and Equus.

But the next gen Genesis and Equus are only 1-2 years away, so we'll see how the new designs fare against the K9.

The K9 is the Genny equal?

It's actually btwn the size of the Genesis and Equus, so it'll probably also be somewhere in btwn the 5.0 Genesis and Equus in pricing as well, tho maybe closer to the Equus since it will be equipped w/ more tech (like HUD) than the Equus currently offers.

I am trying to determine what mini-van is to the right. Veracruz to the left and the silver soccer mom express says Turbo Intercooled. Look like an old Pontiac ..but in S.Korea?

"Also featuring full-adaptive LED headlamps, the sedan will automatically shift the angle and breadth of the headlamp according to the direction and speed of the vehicle, as well as how much the car leans to one side, resulting in the reduction of blind spots.

The K9 is 5,090 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,490 mm tall. That makes it 70 mm shorter than the Hyundai Equus large sedan, but 105 mm longer than the Hyundai Genesis."
