  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am purchasing the genesis 3.8 sedan this week and need some advice regarding putting genesis 5.0 r spec rims on this vehicle. Are there any problems with tire clearance, brakes, speedometer calibration, or offset if I make this change? I assume the 19 inch tires would be a lower profile than the existing 18 inch tires which would cause a firmer ride with a slight improvement in cornering depending on the tires chosen. Thanks in advance for your help, I have learned a lot from reading this forum and look forward to enjoying my new ride.

Works great, no problem and handles great. Check out the pictures on the second page of the Hyundai Genesis Pictures forum. Kev4

That's great news! I too just bought a 2012 3.8 last week and have been thinking about putting the R spec wheels on it. Any suggestions on where to buy them?

There have been a few members selling R-Spec wheels (usually with tires) on this forum. Not sure if they are still for sale.

Obviously, you should first get a quote from your local Hyundai dealers parts departments in your area, but there are some online sites (official Hyundai dealers) that may offer better prices (but shipping is not going to be cheap, although no sales tax can offset that):

This one is in SC, but maybe you can find one closer to you.

I bought my R Spec Rims and Tires on Ebay for $901.00 plus $200.00 for shipping. I live in the Vancouver area and the Rims came from a Texas tire shop that had switched out a customer with an 2012 R Spec. Transaction was great and the seller provided ample pictures showing there prestine state. I am a very happy customer...

P.S. Tires are 250.00 each plus tax, new.
Rims are 550.00 each from the dealer.

Thanks Kev! I'm in Texas (Houston), that would have been a great deal for me!! Guess I'll start looking on ebay and see what I can find.

Hi Brian from Texas. The name of the tire dealer is Wheel Specialist Inc. also from Texas.
Contact Chris@wheelspecialist.com He may have more.

I will keep my eyes open for you as well.
