When the Genesis came out with the TAU there was talk about of a Direct Injected version, 5.0 version, turbo version... Recently BWM, Mini, VW, have all had major recalls around their direct injection systems.... This isn't a rant about other brands... however... Reading those , I am glad...

I've test driven both the Genesis 4.6 V8 Tau and 3.8 V6 Lamda trying to decide between the two. Both cars has tech packages. Is it my imagination that the V6 steering seems lighter and that the quality of the ride is slightly better, that is that roads bumps are not transmitted to the occupants...

Since the V8 Borrego is in such small supply I am taking up home here to learn more about my motor.

Does anybody know if the 4.6 uses a chain and if so is it single or double for driving its camshafts? Can anybody point me to a good internal diagram of this engine? Thanks

Has anyone run across or does anyone possess torque/horsepower graphs for Genesis with the Tau engine? I'd be very interested in the shape of these two curves. Hyundai lists max torque occuring at 3500 rpm, but is the curve a steep climb to 3500 and back down, or is there a wide, flat plateau...
