  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

09 genesis sedans $500.00 below invoice to forum members

I believe there has been another incentive on the 09's (total $1500 I have heard). I believe the HAPP price for an 09 V8/tech should be about $36,400. Add freight ($800), doc fee ($588), taxes This puts the 09 about $3K under a 10. Zag price is $36,942 including freight. Just be careful not to buy any extra warranty, paint sealant, or other stupid stuff.

I purchased my girlfriends 2006 Kia Sportage for 4K under invoice from a dealer.

I purchased my 2009 4.6 Tech Genesis for $35K even. Only had 3,000mi on her but was from a private party.

I'm not a cheap person, but I'll make the dealer bend backwards to get the numbers I want. If you get a good group of sales people it makes for an enjoyable afternoon. If you get dirtbags, well then you just leave and go down the street to the next dealer.

I am guessing that would only be an "enjoyable afternoon" on your part.:D

And if a guy didn't meet your price he would be a "dirtbag"?

Not at all. Dirtbag salesmen are the ones who know nothing about the product they are selling and right off the bat you know a coherent conversation isn't going to happen.

I'm just used to straightforward talking. No slimy gimmicks needed and when purchasing something of significant value I need someone on the same playing field.

If you're a member of an outfit like USAA, they have car buying programs where you can get a car for a guaranteed $500 under invoice (excluding tax and title). I got my Genesis sedan through this program.
