I am finally back from the depth of exams.

Here is a latest development - Some of the information in this reply post will contradict my previous posts, so please consider this latest. I talk to the owner of the model maker and he asked me to circulate the information.

The manufacturer temporarily stopped the production of Genesis models because of the defects mentioned before. The manufacturer switched oursourced Chinese factory in question, and is working with other factories. They expect to resume the production and stock up inventory by no later than early April. And better yet, they decided to set up an English version of their website to meet the demand overseas (Genesis models were not intended to be marketed internationally.)

So you won't need to email them when their new inventory become available. Go to their english-version website and purchase directly. Their website is www.jigamaree.com, not www.automodel.co.kr.

Jigamaree is the manufacturer's marketing brand. The website has been up and running for other merchandise, but it does not list Genesis there yet. So please keep the fingers crossed and check the website in April.

I know there are many fellow members who'd like to get their hands on one of the models now, but please understand the situation and be patient - I think it will worth waiting. As I said before, the manufacturer takes the quality issue very seriously and I am sure they will get it right soon.

On Jigamaree.com they have just posted the availablity of the Genesis but in black only....other colors and models will be added in the near future.
The cost is $129 (plus, I assume, shipping).

Do a search for "Genesis" to find the model.

Heck, I have to wait for the platinum.

I think I read here that the one in white is going to be the KDM BH330 (3.3L). Black and silver are BH380's.

Wow, that was fast.

In fact, the manufacturer sent an email to me today saying that the black model is up for sale again. He also mentioned that silver and white models will become available in mid-April.

If you guys are interested, go to www.jigamaree.com and check it out.
On the webpage, click "Jigamaree" on the menu on left, then click "1:18". You should be able to see the Genesis. (See attached picture)

For those who've been waiting a white Genesis -

White models are finally available on the market!
As informed before, the White Genesis is BH330.. It's a KDM-only 3.3 liter V6 model.
The white diecast model has a few detail changes over black and silver models (You know they are BH380s)
1. The grill: White Genesis comes with a front camera on the grill
2. Wheels: BH330 standard-issue 17-in wheels (It's the same one as the US 3.8 cars)
3. Beige interior

The model is available on www.automodel.co.kr now.. I don't know when it's going to be available on www.jigamaree.com.

I got my Genesis last week...an extremely well-detailed car. Stuff like a actual image on the nav display, seat belts, the illuminated scuff plates in the doors...and yes, all four doors open (unlike most diecast model cars which usually have only two doors open). It was fairly pricey (a good chunk of that was the shipping cost from South Korea) but worth it over all.

Grrr their Paypal integration is atrocious. It didn't take me to the Paypal site to pay. I have no idea how they anticipate linking my order with a Paypal order.

I just did this.....I placed the order, got an order # and separately sent the paypal payment with the order #.... Its well worth it, packaging was superb!
