  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

20” wheels

I’ve found tire availability to be seasonal. Buying winters may be easier when it’s not June. :)
LOL. You may be right. I am a little OCD I'm afraid. They guy at Tire Rack did say that they anticipate issues due to supply chains for this winter.

I wait until Costco has their spring/fall sales on tires.

I know it's a bit early to be worried about this but I have called a couple places and Tire Rack said order soon because they expect a large price increase before winter and tires are currently in short supply
I'm getting the Performance model and will slightly downsize to 20". In that size, with XL load capacity, I have decided I'm looking at the Blizzak LM 005, the Michelin X-Ice and the Vredstein WintracPro. The X-ice are out of stock in most places!

I will also be buying 20" rims but I'm having trouble getting the offset from Genesis. If anyone knows the offset please let me know.

Just passing on the information.

Actually, it's never too early to worry about tires so thanks for the above! We are in Canada.

I've always researched optimal winter tires before buying any car given how bad OEM tires typically are. That and because I absolutely hate this trend towards larger rims for cosmetic purposes, while increasing rotational weight, reducing ride quality, and increasing replacement tire price.

I'll be looking at trading the 21" wheels for 20s when I get my car. I might even go to 19s for the summers. And I'll go with 18s for the winter.

What are you thinking of getting? I've always like Enkei for value and quality

Enkei, BBS or OZ are all on the list. Or I might see if another GV60/EV6/i5 owner wants to trade.

Exactly what I was thinking: I would like to trade the the Performance wheels with an Advanced. I don't even care to recoup the difference in value. Most drivers think larger wheels are better so I'm sure most Advanced owners would be happy to exchange.
Unfortunately, my dealer (who I asked to ask his Advanced customers) is not interested in helping me out.

If anyone here on the Forum lives in the GTA and is interested, let me know.

That website lists the offset for 20: wheels as 54.5 but I just spoke to Genesis dealer and they said 43.5

???

A few mm +/- is inconsequential.

they say that the offset shouldn't differ by more than 5mm. We are talking about 11 mm. That is substantial

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I'd be most interested in a high performance lightweight 18-19" rim with fairly aggressive tires and possibly a bit more poke. Same OD as stock of course.

Those stock 21"s wheels look really heavy.

Keep in mind that offset may need to differ substantially with wheels of different widths.

Absolutely, 1/2" wheel width = 12.5 mm.
Tire Rack has wheels loaded for the Ioniq 5 which, I'd bet, is the same fitment as for the GV60.

So I’m looking at GTS 510 wheels (gtswheels.com) with Blizzak LM005 tires for the winter as recommended by Simply Tire in Toronto.
Would get the matte gunmetal for my white GV60.
Just need to decide if I want to go with 19” or 20” for my Performance

Does anyone have a picture of what the 20" wheels on the Advance model look like?

I checked out the Genesis website re: winter wheels. I think 19" is the way to go and they are showing a 19" flow formed wheel (19x8.5, 22 lbs) that I know is manufactured by Fastco. The rubber they are offering is a Continental or Yokohama both of which are true snow tires and highly rated by TireRack.
I would have preferred a performance winter (the Blizzak LM005) but both these tires are pretty good.
The price on Genesis website is actually pretty good in my opinion at about $3200. And they are offering a 5 year warranty on the wheel finish which is unusual..includes lug nuts and all TPMS!
That is close to the quote I got from an independent tire company here in Toronto.
I may just go for this package
