2009-2012 Genesis Grille Conversion

I'm trying to install 2012 grill on my 2009 genesis and have few troubles. What exactly do you cut of to bring in top the center of 2012 grill?

2012 grill is the same shape as 2009 from the fron side. But in the back you have to cut of a part of bottom edge and some on the side. After that if fits almost as it has to be. Jast a small gap still remains between top grill and the main one.

Find this comment a bit conflicting based on your first post asking for help about where to cut in order for the grille to fit properly. Just trying to add more information to the knowledge base for future users. Otherwise this thread is useless.

Here is a picture from ebay. Red marks - shows where you have to cut edges. And two upper side marks shows which clips I cut off.

Something tells me he switched over to the 2012 headlights and just now got over to swapping out the grille. If you look at the lower grille insert in the bumper it doesn't have the outer metal insert like the 2012-2014's.
