If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. I have a 2009 Hyundai Genesis sedan and I am having issues being able to play music through the center console aux plug and the USB plug. I brought it to the Hyundai dealership and they told me that I needed to order the Hyundai aux cord which was $50, so I found one online for a little cheaper. Plugged it up and it is still reading the same error. It is saying that no device is connected. How are you able to get music to play through the USB plug. I can't get sound through either one aux or usb. Can someone help me with this? Any suggestions? Someone help please!!

You're pushing the Disc/Aux button until Aux is selected?

Try another USB drive. also you should not need a cord for a USB drive. I use a scandisk micro usb 16 gig. works perfectly. However, I did have an old usb drive with music on it and my car could not recognize it. Or try reformatting your usb and reloading your music (mp3) on it.

Your not getting sounds with the AUX plug either?

If your not getting sound through the AUX plug or the USB there might be something wrong with the "outlet" in the center console. Bad connection or something, I can always get sound through the AUX cable.

I am not getting any sound through the aux plug at all. It is saying there are no devices connected. I have taken it to the dealership and they say nothing is wrong. I will try a usb flash drive and see if that works. Thanks for the info!

Every once in a while I've seen that msg when trying to switch to the Aux plug. Usually turning the car off and restarting it clears that up.
