  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello, am I correct in saying there are 2 different navigation systems available for the Genesis.....a touch screen and a non-touch screen? If so, is one better than the other or is it all a matter of preference? Thanks!

I believe the Touch-screen version is on the Premium Package cars and the other that uses the "joystick wheel" is fitted to the Tech Package cars.

I haven't tried the touch-screen version, but I have found the Tech Package system to be really easy to use. My only complaint is the need for updated mapping software, which I hear is coming (so's Christmas!:D).

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
one thing I also like about the Tech NAV system is it's zoom in/out feature with the joystick. You can actually zoom out to cover much of the US, if you'er so inclined.

I just picked up a slightly used 2010 v8 with nav from a Lexus dealer in south Florida. Navagation system manual is in french!!! Any suggestions on how/where to get one in english?

First off, figure if your 4.6 is a Premium Pkg (Touch Screen), or Tech Pkg (with the DIS Stick). Once you figure that, go to a Hyundai Dealer and order the correct manual.

Another question. Is the car a Canadian Spec, with the Speedo in Kilometers, or American Spec, with the Speedo in Miles? (Yes, many Canadian spec cars get traded, in the USA and some dealers buy Canadian spec cars in Canada, the ship them into to US to be resold).

Lastly, if your 4.6 has the Tech Pkg, even without the DIS Manual, you can figure out how the thing works. I had more luck just "playing" with the various DIS menus, vice reading the COMPLICATED manual.

Good Luck.

You can also go to the Hyundai Service Website under OM and download the manual you need i.e. Navigation Manual (touchscreen), Navigation Manual for non DIS and the 2009 DIS manual.
