2010 Genesis - Need buying advice

I have a 2010 Genesis 3.8 v6 that was driven by owner of dealership sitting in my garage - sticker was 42k. Thinking of buying it for about 35k. Has about 2,000 miles on it.

There is another I found at a dealership for the SAME PRICE that is used with a couple thousand miles on it with the v8

Apparently new owners get a more robust warranty.

Both cars have the tech package.

Interested in opinions on
- which would be better choice given the warranty
- thoughts on price of a 2010 3.8 @ 35k

There are some threads on the 2011 people paying like 37k so IMO that 2010 is not that great of a price. With the 12s close to release I would go with the 11 if you can. 2k difference for a year newer is worth it for warranty/etc imo.

Do you have any thoughts on the v6 vs v8? Looks like you're buying one also - I am seeing mixed feedback.

Test drive Both a few times.
If you can't tell the difference between the two, GET 3.8 !

In my personal opinion, 3.8 does not come close to 4.6
I think 4.6 tech package gives you the most bang and value for your buck.

(but of course, the gas price is now at $4... so keep that in mind..)

If you go to the "what people paid" thread, you will see that brand new 2011 4.6 v8's are going for around 37 plus tax. Sticker price on that car is close to 44.
