  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2010 3.8 with touchscreen nav. I have searched the manual and can't find an answer to this. If the system calculates a route that is incorrect, how do I fix it? The only way I can see is to add a bunch of waypoints that force the system to change the route accordingly, but that is a big nuisance. Does anybody have a suggestion?

Why not Delete the route and recalculate from a few miles down the road.........

Problem is it's a long route and the bad patch is near the end.

Well just follow the existing route till you feel you need to change..look in your recent routes and you can go from there...

Yes there is:- Use Google Maps and get 3 different routes! - print em up..
That's the old fashioned way".. but of course you need to be able to map read!
:grouphug:

If you know where the glich is, Then you know where to go, Once you turn off the prescribed path the nav automatically follows your move and reconfigures the route. You need to do nothing.

Hi, from what I understood the Poster" said the very last part of his route has a glitch (road wise)..
If he is unsure of his surroundings he needs to be Informed prior to reaching that Point.. He could go into BestBuy and check out the Route on a demo nav system..They all work, I have done this when out of area prior to in car nav..
He could use BlueLink voice navigation if that's available..
He could also reverse from his Final point to where the road glitch starts and see what route the nav system has to offer..
Finally, just sit in the back and let someone else worry..the rear seats are well comfortable..........:D

I like your suggestion best. In fact, this is what will probably happen. My wife needs this info to get to/from an unfamiliar hospital in an unfamiliar city. She will (hopefully) be driving me home following some scary surgery.

Glad I could Help, Take Care, Good Luck..

Thanks! I'm one year behind you, and the warranty (not from HMA) on my aortic valve is about to expire.

Take my word for it, the nav system in this car is the biggest piece of crap I've ever dealt with. It is pure junk, can't navigate, and can't change and recalculate. I take my Garmin, and set it over the onboard screen, and everything is OK. Oh, and the dealer thinks I'll pay $400 to upgrade it?

Well "H" have got to cost cut"" somewhere..:(
My Garmin is permanently in my "G" & ready for use... Good Old Garmin//
;)

I also keep my garmin in the center console - but in slightly over one year I have never had to break her out... NAV seems to work fine for me and I use it quite a bit when trying to find my way home from the bar... lol
