  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2010 Price Paid

Just bought a 2010 V6 for 800 below invoice. Paid cash, no trade in. Dealer agreed to my first offer within minutes - makes me think I could have gone lower, but still seems like a fair deal and it's nice not to haggle.

invoice = 39468 (tech, cargo, ipod, wheel locks, $300 ad fee)
paid = 38668 + tax, doc, lic, reg.
doc fee was 55.
sales tax is 9.75% in CA (ouch)

I just bought a 2010 3.8 with premium and premium nav (not tech) for $36375+tax and tags. I could have saved $200-$300 if I were willing to drive 3 hours to get a car. I considered a 2009, but was spooked by the suspension issues. However, I couldn't honestly feel much if any difference in the '09 vs. the 10 though the 10 was subjectively quieter.

Yesterday I bought a 2010 Genesis 4.6 Black/Cashmere with wheel locks, cargo tray, ipod cable for $39387 at Glendora Hyundai in Glendora California from Pierce Caine (internet sales manager).

Can you tell me what the other fees, registration and taxes were and how did you finace it. (Total price) Thanks

Didn't finance car. Run down is as follows:

Price of vehicle= 39,323
Doc prep fee=55
Sales tax (San Bernardino County = 8.75%)=3445.58
License fee=255
Registration/transfer fee=264
California tire fee=8.75
Smog abatement fee=20.00

Total fee before purchasing 10 yr bumper to bumper warranty=43371.33

Purchased a 10 yr bumper to bumper warranty for additional 1600. Wasn't necessary but gave me piece of mind if electronics and things go out after the initial 5 yr warranty. Provides for 5 day free car rental, and an daily allowance in the event you're stranded somewhere while getting the car repaired.

Hyundai in Glendora also provides 5 years worth of free oil changes with the purchase of ALL their hyundai cars. Very happy with them. If you want contact info of the sales manager...message me. He'll be happy to give you the same car for the same price.

For anyone looking to finance, Pentagon Federal Credit Union has the lowest rates I've seen - 3.99%/60months or less.

Bought off of EBay from Shawnee Mission Hyundai dealer. Loaded 4.6 with Tech package. $39660 + $425 processing fee. Great experience and I highly recommend contacting Michael Gharst who worked with me. 913.219.3152

Anyone bought one in Canada this month? Like to hear about actual OTD prices. I spoke to one dealership (with a test drive) and they said no more than $1,000.00 off list. I can probably do a little better but was curious how other Canuks are doing.

I finally joined the group of proud owners of a HYUNDAI GENESIS V6 3.8 TECH purchased in Houston Texas @ Sterling McCall Hyundai total cost out the door $39,600.00. I will update my HAPP pricing experience and add some pictures shortly. I think I made a good deal.

Yesterday I purchased a 2010 3.8 sedan from dealer stock - I just couldn't wait any longer! It's sapphire blue/cashmere with premium and premium navagation packages (no tech) - I got it at factory invoice. In addition, I got a generous trade-in allowance on my mint condition '05 Subaru Forester. It sure pays to keep a car in flawless condition!

Overall, it was a great deal and no-haggle transaction at Manfredi Hyundai in Staten Island, NY. My only disappointment was not finding the color combination I really wanted: titanium grey with saddle seats. The dealer searched other dealer inventories within 500 miles but no match. Apparently, there aren't many saddle interiors out there, except for a few black pearls with saddle, which I didn't want. My disappointment was quite apparent to the sales manager who offered any of his in-stock 2010 inventory at factory invoice cost.

In cars today, interiors other than black, gray and tan are so rare - I just wanted something different. But considering the price I paid, I'm very pleased with what I got - sapphire blue/cashmere is a nice combination. Those seeking to buy in the N.Y.C. area should check out Manfredi in Staten Island.

I joined the ranks yesterday. I leased a 2010 Genesis 4.6 with tech for $1,130.00 down and $539.00 for 36 months with 12k miles I was able to use the $1500 competitive owner rebate and the $1000 incentive money. I do enjoy this car. Thanks to everyone on this site for your help.

Steve92, I'm aware of the $1,500 competitive owner rebate, but what is the $1,000 incentive money?

There is a $1000.00 incentive to lease, and I believe finance as well. I bought the car for $38,700.00 and then the rebates of $1500 and the $1000 leasing incentive. Costco pricing was $39,000 plus rebates and incentive Dealers were giving me the run around with the happ deal.

I wondered why Edmunds.com TMV price was only $100 over invoice...but they list no incentives for 4.6 models right now other than military.
