  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2010 Price Paid

Bought a 2010 V8 Genesis with the Tech package -- LOVE this car! Black on black, and sexy as hell!

MSRP was $43,800, bought it for $38,500 + tax with no money down! I definitely felt like I stole this car from them =)

I've got nothing but good things to say about Dublin Hyundai dealership. Bar none the BEST car buying experience I have ever had. Ask for Jaime if you are in the area and want to get the absolutely best deal on your Genesis!

Great price hikago. I'm thinking about getting the same next summer. Hope it's around $37K at that time, when the 2011s are ready to come out.

I'm too lazy to search through Edmunds, but does Hyundai pay dealers a holdback like GM, Ford, Chrysler and other manufacturers?

I dont get it you guys all paid more than me... I bought an 2009 premium plus black pearl 3.6 with saddle. I paid 36,500 out the door that includes tax title and license and a $650 window etching security thing.

That's an outstanding deal, considering that's about $4500 under MSRP.

I know! Drove 5 hours to get it, but couldn't pass it up. It's been a long search to find the right price though. (Edited post original post to add more details.)

It's not just $1500 if you take into consideration sales tax. I'm not sure what 3 states it was. I just know Texas was. I'm assuming California also with the prices I've seen posted on this forum and the other. Best I found in Arkansas where I'm at was 39,200. It cost me $120 in gas and about a 12 hr trip. Like you said...may not be worth it for everyone, but for me it was worth it.

Nice deal. Just so you know. You can buy a window etching kit for around $20.

Or free. My dealer etches all of the windows on all of its cars. If you tell them you don't want to pay the add-on, they just don't register the numbers in the database. Not like I think it makes any difference...

First wanted to thank everyone in this forum for all the info - really helped to make some decisions easy!, so returning the favor:-

Just took last 2009 4.6L w/Tech loaded Titanium/Black from my local dealer in FL. Negotiation with dealer was almost zero - with discussion pretty much between me & myself choosing 2010 vs. 2009 (wanted 2009 with possibly stiffer suspension) and v6 vs. v8.

2010s were all possible to get a couple hundred below invoice or at invoce (even with dealer fee of 600), the kicker was last 2009 in their stock:

They took my first offer of 36,300(including their dealer fee but before tax+title) which included $1500 competitive rebate, so the selling price was around 37800... which is about 1.1K below invoice or about $750 below TMV according to edmunds.com;

I was perplexed and hesitated, we talked about my trade-in and they offered me fair value on it... needless to say I took the deal!

I have a feeling there is some big unpublished incentive that allowed them to do this so easily or I had some lucky star shining for me that night...

The 2009s had many more rebates offered than the 2010s just because Hyudai really needed to move them. Oklahoma dealerships were/are offering $4k off the sticker immediately on them. But they didn't have the competitive rebate.

But looks like we found state #2 with that rebate. Lol.

Just read on another thread. California is the 3rd. So to sum it up...Texas, Florida, and California are the states that were given the $1500 competitive incentive.

Hopefully, as this site grows, it will look more like this -
www.bimerfest.com

You get invoice price sheets, secret incentives, everything published for all to see...and a plethora of dealers on there who are willing to disclose helpful information.

I just picked up a 2009 V6 , in Michigan, with the 2nd level premium package (18" wheels) for about $30,500. That would be about $2500 under invoice. The dealer told me they had a dealer incentive and $1500 rebate to work with. I wanted to hold out for a 2010 but that price was too tempting.

Just bought 2010 V-6 with Tech, ipod, trunk liner and wheel locks for Overstock.com price of 37665 minus competitor rebate of 1500 for total price of 36165. The rebate is good until Monday. Bought from Glendale Hyundai from Tony the internet manager. It was totally painless and Tony is great. Highly recommend Overstock.com price. It is lower than Costco or Carsdirect. Love the car by the way,
