2011 Lexicon Nav vs 2012 Nav

I was just wondering when checking out the 2012 base model genesis I seen a different type of navigation in it. Is that a newer upgraded navigation system for the 2012 genesis, and if its made by lexicon, cause i think it looks pretty neat. I just traded in my 09 Genny 4.6 base model in for a 2011 4.6 with tech package and just wanted to find out if i would've gotten a better sound system in the 2012 Genny 4.6.

You would've gotten the same sound system as we have in the Gen/Equus.
(We both have Tech packages, the V6 can be ordered without it.) You probably saw the touchscreen nav as opposed to the DIS, same as in the Sonata. As for 'better sound sytem', how could it possibly be better?

I see now after doing some research of my own. Thanks, I was thinking that the Nav in the 2012 base model was something more technologically advanced.
