Drove my friends new 2011 Mustang GT Premium with Brembo Pkg. WOW!
He bought it with the 6 Speed Manual. It comes with a 5.0 Liter DOHC 32V Engine. Car runs on 87 octane fuel. The Brembo Pkg adds 19 Inch wheels, with Pirelli PZero Summer Tires, "Brembo" etched on the calipers, a beautiful "bar" that goes across the engine compartment, connected from shock tower to shock tower, and who knows what else the Brembo Pkg has.
First things first. I thought it was going to have a "rough" (stiff) ride. Well, the ride although stiffer than a regular Mustang, WAS NO STIFFER THAN MY GENESIS and perhaps even smoother. (this surprised me as I thought it would be rough).
The clutch was feather light. Left leg will not get tired in this car. The shifter falls right at my hand, and the transmission shifts smooth, as if it were shifting through butter. (Just as good as the Renault Laguna's I lease when in Europe.)
Did not have a Navi Screen, however my friend showed me the Ford Sync system. Told it where we wanted to go. Don't understand all the following, however it then connected to his cell phone, then after answering some questions, it disconnected from the cell phone, and the information was in the Sync, and it gave us voice only directions to where we told it. Although I love a screen map, I was still impressed with the Sync system. (The problems with all these new cars is that you need a degree in computer science to understand how all the systems function).
If I were 40 years younger, and 40 pounds lighter, this would be my car. (Yes, 40 years ago, when I was 40 pounds lighter, my wife and I had both a 70 'Cuda 340 and a 70 Mustang Mach-1)
I WAS IMPRESSED!
