  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2011 Price Paid

Folks,
I received a quote for 2011 Hyundai Genesis with Tech and premium package for $37,958 + TTL. However, I live in Southern California and was wondering if this a good deal?

Johnny!!!

V6 or V8? --- If this was a V8, it was an outstanding price.

I just got my V8 for 41,085 -- I probably paid a grand or two extra as I wanted the car ASAP, and at the dealership closest to me. It was my first Hyundai and I wanted to deal face to face with the sales guy. At the deal and if I ever have problems.

So I am looking at the 2011 4.6 Genesis and have seen some mentions of "Rebadged"....what does that mean?

Also, the pricing locally for this model ($43,800 list) is about $37, 600 - $38,000 out the door (not including taxes/registration)......

Thanks for the help.

Pete

Rebadged: Hyundai "lazy H" emblem replaced with Genesis wings. Trunk (most common), hood (some folks like it, I don't) and wheel inserts (also commonly done).

2011 V8 4.6 sedan with dealer added options (i know these are high markups for the dealer and of little value)- pin stripes, exterior and interior wax/leather coating.

The sticker was a little over 45,000 (without dealer options 43,800)

Also got a high trade-in value according to kelly blue book.

price 37900 which includes 1500 rebate.

The dealer is northern new jersey.

Hmm... may have to drive a bit to pick mine up when I'm ready.

I am looking at Circle Price of $39,570, minus $250 Circle cash and $1,500 competitive owner coupon - $37,820 before taxes and fees - a little over $40 out the door.

But it sounds like I can probably knock a couple thou off that price in Joysey.

:)

I would say that is a smokin' price. I have never seen a 2011 4.6 with Tech. go for that low on this forum, absent special circumstances!

I just got my Titanium Gray V8 w/cargo mat for $38,000. That included military discount of $500. I live in VA but bought in MD to save document fee. MD document fee is limited by law to $100. Tax in VA is 3% and title/registration is $99. I've already added rear deck and steering wheel badges and wheel caps. Mud guards are at the painters.

What are the changes between the 2010 and the 2011?

I got the 2011 a black/saddle V6 w/Premium PKG for $31549 (including discount of $1500) before TTL, MSRP was $36445. I am in SoCal and LOVE the car!

Glendale Hyundai, tell them you have Hyundai Circle certificate, they will beat that.

Look for AJ and mention I indroduce you that I will get additional free oil changes, thanks.

you all are getting great deals! here in hawaii it is bittersweet. yes, i live in a beautiful place. however, of the two hyundai dealerships here on the island, one said the lowest they could go is 34000 + TTL on a BASE MODEL v6! WTH! i'm fine with the base model but definitely not at that price. i would go to the other dealership, but this one has the exact color combo i want (white/saddle)...

Well folks, I just pulled the trigger - bought a 2011 Sapphire Blue 4.6 model for $37,633 out the door (not tax, tags) which included wheel locks and iPod cable....this included the competitive rebate, which I was granted an "exception" since I did not own a qualifying car (on the list by specific model) - I complained that I owned a car more expensive than those on the list and the General Manager got an exception granted by Hyundai. Not sure if you complain if this is done routinely, but made it worth it for me!

Pete

Excellent deal! Congrats!

Dealer info pls.

Dealer - Fitzgerald Hyundai, Gaithersburg, Md. You can see all their prices online at ftizway.com....very aggressive pricing, great folks. They have dealerships in Maryland and Florida it appears......

Ouch!! $38,260 in Ohio (including tray & iPod). I should've had Pete negotiating for me.

What are you complaining about. I paid $41,085 here in Minneapolis.

Well, but I'm too new here to lord it over you-especially given how much I've learned from you and the rest of the regulars here during my lengthy lurking period. I did have an old but qualifying Volvo which knocked off the last $1500. Thanks for taking so much of your time to post--it made the final throw of the switch much, much easier.

Oh, I traded in a 'Very Mint' 2003 Lexus ES300 also, and they still didn't cut me a lot of slack.

This was all my own fault however, as I wanted a 2011 ASAP, and since it was my first Hyundai I wanted to buy it locally and not fly across the U.S. to pick it up (Which I have done with Lexus). I told my Sales Guy that if I buy another Genesis, I will be a lot harder on him pricewise.

I assume there's more competition among dealers here--half a dozen or so within 100 miles. The car's a pleasure to drive at either price!
