In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. long trip especially if after you get there something is not right!:(

yep, that would be awful
apparently you need to ask sales manager to take car you negotiating for from the lot before all paperworks are completed - next time I'll know

I wasn't that strict with colors, and although I loved blue 3.8, white with saddle was on my list, and 4.6 vs 3.8 made it not so painful to switch

I wasn't that strict with colors,

This car is for my wife and she wants the Champagne Metallic....anything I can find close to home has been sitting on the dealers lot since July Aug of 2010.

The car that is 200 miles away, I'd have to take a train to get to buy it but the car is a recent build and at the dealer for only a short time...

still not sure what we'll do, the problem is the prive is right and the color is right!!

Oh well.....

Anyone getting offered $36,xxx.00 in the SF Bay area for a Genesis 4.6 ? The best I have been offered is $37,268.00

TIA

Checked the manufacturing date on my - 03/2011 - fresh hot from the oven :)

2011 4.6
3 Year lease 12k/Year
599 down.
499.99 per month payment tax.
I think I did ok.
The dealership I says all of you that are buying at 36xxx are lying...

It could be that some are not including the dealer prep fee of $850 or perhaps the ipod cable, mat, and wheel locks.

Don't misunderstand. I am not implying this.
My dealer claims that a 36*** price is folly and there is no honesty on the interwebs. He could be right....
Perhaps I could have pushed harder but it just so happens that my gracious employer pays for my car and 500 is my allowance.;)

go to this site and punch it up, go back to the dealer and use this as your comparison. had you used this site you too would've been able to get one for that price.

http://bankofamerica.zag.com/config...5&modelId=1110&trimId=245922&upfrontPricing=Y

http://bankofamerica.zag.com/trueCa...0000&total_incentives=0.0000&partnerName=Your Price&partnerPrice=38117.5000

tack on the $2500 in rebates (if you qualify) and viola you're there.. and the ealer STILL makes almost $2k per car.

If that is the case then I'll just lie my way to another brand of vehicle and give them my business instead. I can only speak for myself but I provided the dealer on Friday my financial data for which my lease figures were based. Here is a snippet from their email response: "I have talked to our Hyundai New Car Sales Director, namely, *********** about your request and he stated that he sees no problem making the figures work for you."

If that were indeed the case then why do you tell me that you're "going to lose money" if you use my figure as your Base Cap Cost after I arrive at the dealership? Keep my backend parked at home, stay on your butt, and sell the car to some other pud who will pay you more.

I ended up losing my dad Saturday night as previously alluded to in another thread and when Mr. *********** called me yesterday I advised him that I had lost a family member and was not in a position to discuss this matter with him further at that time. Not only did they lose this lease but also another sale in 2 months which I alluded to in the initial email. Some folks can't see beyond the tip of their nose. As a final thought, I still have yet to hear back from the second dealer in the area who is owned by the same party (N. Texas).

Sorry to hear about your dad.

:(

Thank you for the thought. I do note that pricing for the '11 4.6 with all extras is listing at truecar.com and BofA as alluded to just above for $40K, not the $37550 that others have referenced. I also realized that they are still running the competitor credit of $1500 so that would drop my cap cost down to $38500.

Bought my Wife her car yesterday

2011 4.6 Champagne Beige Metallic/Cashmere
Wheel Locks
Cargo Mat
iPod cable

$37,250 plus tax and tags

she's happy, which means I'm happy....:D

I want one too!!!...for that price!!!...lol...was that with destination included? ...And... most importantly, where did you get it?...any mileage on it?

Thanks, Joe

JoeDaytona;was that with destination included? ...And... most importantly said:

Called them back and told them about truecar and BoA
They came with: "those sites dont sell cars"
Then shaved 21 off the monthly...
$478 P/M

sorry for your loss. I understand what you're saying about "average sale price". but in our world average sales price are for the "other guys". We probably represent less than 8% of the Genesis owners here. we help each other out to get the best deals and not be taken for a sucker. so when you have multiple people telling you (and linking you to the websites) that SHOW the real cost to the dealer (when they are willing to do the right thing and cut into holdback/advertising fees) you get a Genesis for $36,xxx after rebates and some of the HOLDBACK.

i just checked my paperwork and the sale price of the unit was $38,900. Rebates were $2500 = $36,400 (+ $220 "protection inside and out = $36,600 +TTL).

Sorry if this wasn't explained properly earlier but that's the deal i got. Dealer still made $2000~, everyone was happy.

Took the plunge and got a 2011 4.6 Platinum Metallic w/ Tech one from Fitzgerald in Bethesda, MD, for $37,500 out the door (excluding taxes only). They had even re-badged it before hand! Was thinkin of waiting forthe R-Spec, but the low low price was just too good to pass up for this car.

Hey JckOfSpds, I think we may have purchased from the same dealership - near Whiteflint Mall? Have you used them for service? If so, what has your experience been?

Out of curiosity, what were other rebates besides competitive/loyalty?
