2011 Price Paid

Yeah the Platinum package is around $1600 when you get it when you buy the car. At least from the Fitzgerald dealership...

The initial quote was $1850. I immediately asked, "Can you do better?" and he went to $1500. I said, I was going to counter w/$1000, so how 'bout we split the difference @ $1250?" It took him about 5 seconds to agree. I guess I countered too high! :D

That is a sweet price! Were you able to close the deal? That is less than I just paid for a loaded 2010 4.6 with 5000 miles.

Details on my purchase are in the Prices so we all can proper thread...

Had a bet with the wife last night that if Mavs beat the OKC Thunder that she gets an '11 Genny 4.6 with all bells/whistles (as posted by Driv200 in Nov. '10). I pay the sales tax ($2298) for the Cap Cost price ($37550) plus 1st payment - Comp Owner credit of $1500 leaving $1228.94 to drive away. Lease calculator shows a monthly payment of $430.94 for 3 years at 15K mi./year with Hyundai Tier 1 MF of .00058 and residual of 53% (per online source using May Hyundai MF/residual value). I will be trading an '04 Lexus with an avg. trade value of $10800 and will request a check for the amount less the drive away of $1228.94 (check for $9571.06). Sound reasonable?

I have been searching everywhere to get an idea how much I should expect to pay for cpe 2.0T..base model..

And..weirdly..the price has been changing so much that I cannot be sure what I should be expecting from dealer.

I just got a quote with $21.995(+ tax, license, $55 doc fees and $8.75 tire fees=OTD 24,441)..I just started negotiating today..so I know It's not reasonable price.

BTW..that price includes rebate..

does anybody have suggestions?..

I was thinking OTD around 23k..which makes the price around 22.5k..

Finally got a 2011 4.6 Black/Cashmere about a week ago for the price I wanted. They ended up selling it to me for $38,384, but also gave me $500 more for my trade in than I wanted/expected during our negotiations so I really consider that I got it for $37,884. I had a heck of a time trying to find that color combo anywhere close to Nashville so I was very happy with the deal! I considered waiting for the 2012 MY, but couldn't pass up a great deal on the 2011!

I am so pleased with the price that I got on a V8. I was going to buy the V6 for 36,050.00 plus 690 dealer cost and 6% sales tax. That was through USAA. When I asked the dealer this am what it would cost to get the V8 he said for $190.00. I went for it. They were having a $1500.00 incentive to take the V8. Love this car. Was going through the manual but I am missing the DIS and Navigation Manual. Will pick it up in a day.

Got a great interest rate that was so below my bank that I ended up getting the platinum 10 year warranty for no cost.

I will report on my driving experience as time progress but this is one beautiful car. I have been lurking on this forum for almost a year as a novice but today I am an owner.

Hi,
new V8 owner
bought dealer demo today. 2011 with 7K miles for 32000, and 10yr/100k warranty for 1300.

Local dealer will sell me the 4.6 with the continental tires for 38,187 plus tt&l. He also has a demo in mint condition. It has window tint but has 2800 miles on it. Both come with trunk tray, wheel locks and iPod cable. I am leaning towards demo but would like suggestions on what to offer. For example, I might agree to same price but have extended 6 year 100k 0 deductible extended warranty. (I put over 20-25k a year on cars so even 5 years would probably suffice. ) I just don't know how much to discount the price for it being a demo with that many miles. Ideas welcomed!

Given the fact that I swapped my tires out after the sale, I paid fairly close to that price when it was all said and done. 2800 miles is not very many miles particularly given the warranty period. Could even get him to start the mileage clock at 0 if that is what concerns you. Tinting would have to meet legal requirements in your state.

Hello Everyone,

Just got Genesis 4.6 white/saddle (iPod cable, wheel locks) for $37,250 +taxes and registration fees. I love the car :)
Initially came for blue V6 with Tech package, negotiated down to 35,600, didn't get lease due to the low credit score (640)
Also got some options that I'm now thinking to cancel - I will appreciate your advice on them
1) Sky Link for $637 - maybe useful, I guess I'll get discount in auto insurance
2) Exterior paint - interior protection (scratches, cracks, spills, discolorations, loose stitches, bubble gum, etc. ) - they said if cannot repair - will replace seats - sounds like a good one, for $700 (that one cannot be canceled)
3)Windshield-wheels-tires-body (body : dings and bumps, whatever can be fixed w/ paint-less repair, bend wheels, for windshield - basically everything but smashed windshield) No coverage for vandalism. They also do full detail each time (~900) Really debating this one. What do you think?
Yeah, also we got for free oil changes up to 30k miles, unlimited car washes and loaner car for long services
That's Tusting Hyundai in OC

I would not take any of those options that of course provide a nice profit margin for the dealer. This of course is only a personal opinion. You have a good deal.

Yeah, we're exhausted after 6hr negotiations.. And with 6year plan it really didn't make much difference it payments, but today I started analyzing this stuff. Luckily all except one have 60 days cancellation policy
I have 5year old, so interiors in my other cars (Mercedes and Toyota Avalon(R.I.P)) trashed big time. And my wife have contributed w/ nail polish :)

i took the interior exterior protection for $220 (started at $700). to me it was worth the price if god forbid one of my kids were to say..... eat some ice cream and they can't get the ice cream out of the preferations in the leather they will either remove and repair or replace. same thing for a tear seats, carpet, dash and exterior i live by the ocean and it has played havoc on my prevous vehicle's exterior chrome trim. small price to pay for a little piece of mind. i didn't get the 10/100 warranty because if i know anything about myself by year 4 or 5 it will be gone lol.

With children, taking that interior protection may indeed be wise.

Damn, that price you negotiated is much better ;)
