  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is it possible to put a 2012 rear bumper on a 2011?

Been covered on here before and yes it is. Have to cut muffler tips off since 12 has them integrated into the bumper. The 11 taillights won't fit the bumper perfectly like the 12' lights do. I have a link from a Korean car shop somewhere showing the steps involved if interested.

Yes please if you can find it. I have to buy a bumper anyway so I may just see how much the rest cost

Did you have a chance to find the post ?

Has anyone actually done this rear conversion???

Did you actually do this conversion? My car was hit in the back a few weeks back and am planning on upgrading tho the 2012-2014 bumper. Just wondering if you ran into any unexpected issues. I did find another thread where a user installed the 2012 taillights onto a 2011 without changing the bumper. The tail lights stick out a bit past the older style bumper. Also said that the trunk needed to be swapped out to a newer style for a perfect fit. Sent him a PM but they haven't been online since 2013. http://genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/showthread.php?t=8822

Wit that said I'm not sure how the newer 2012-2014 bumper fits with the old lights. I know there was another thread that I can;t find where someone did upgrade to bumper only keeping the old lights.

Has anyone actually done a full rear conversion with lights? or just the bumper?

I did it to my 09 and it looks awesome. I kept my lights since I personally think they look better than the 12's. I am in NYC and have not seen another car around that has done it.

Got any pics? I have decided to just leave my 10' bumper and spend the cash on other upgrades.
