I have A 2009 C300 AWD. If I was in the market for a new E350 I'd rather have the MB TEX because I like the way it feels and it holds up better over the long haul.

One things I loved about Gen 4.6 is that it had everything I need. I absolutely hate those "packages". The luxury car should have all features available. period.

In Germany, a MB is not necessarily considered a luxury car, unless it is one of the high end models outfitted with all the extras. I am not sure about current MB's in Germany, but it was not too long ago that one could purchase a MB with hand crank windows on some of the German MB models.

+1. The way MB is viewed here is quite different than it's home country.
