Been here awhile...
Since the web reports show the 2012 V6 does 0-60 anywhere from 5.4 seconds to 6.4 seconds, I've been anxious to see what I could actually pull off on my own as a person with no racing experience.
I did about 8 runs, but only 2 of them were worthy of posting due to the difficulty in getting a clean launch and gear changes. Man, this car has a ton of torque compared to my 4-cylinder (obviously). You have work the throttle gingerly at certain points or you just spin the wheels during launch and gear changes, which causes the ESC to kill the power.
I also could not get the car to launch or shift smoothly with the ESC off (just pressing the button). I've heard others state that even with it off, the ESC will still intrude abruptly. This is completely true - with the ESC off, power would unequivocally cut out completely during a hard launch and from the 1-2 gear change.
I have no doubt that if I were to completely disable the ESC, my 0-60 would go down to the mid-low to mid 5's. Right now, my best is around 5.8 seconds.
