I never claimed that every missing badge was the result of an accident. There are a number of different explanations that are possible besides an accident. However, in the case of an R-Spec, I would think "most" people would not take the R-Spec emblem off voluntarily (although it could have been stolen, etc).I've had several vechiles with no badging on the rear of them and they had not been in an accident. Either I took them off or I had the dealer take them off before purchase. I just like a clean car.
So there goes your theroy of a missing badge because of an accident.![]()
R-Spec definitely has a firmer suspension. What is the ride comfort level difference of the two versions?

I also want to add that though mine is a 2012, it was never owned before and was the dealers show room car.
A "showroom car" that's two model years old must have done other service. Just speculating that it was a service loaner or, yes, it could have been his wife's car. What's your guess, Leon?
I am thinking it was a demo/loaner. If you added up all the cars that are claimed to be only driven by the dealer GM, it would add up to more cars than exist in the universe.I'm thinking the dealer drove it. It has 5k miles on it so I was able to get a used car price.

As far as the R-Spec decal goes, I spoke with the dealer and they said that a lot of those are put on after the car arrives in the US and they often miss putting on the r-spec (don't know if I believe this story).

Very noticable. The non-R-Spec has a better ride quality. The R-Spec's is stiffer, but what makes it so bad is how slowly it reacts. Not to mention you have to white knuckle the steering wheel sometimes lest you lose your hold on it during road impacts. My other car has a much stiffer ride, but at the same time is more comfortable and less jolting than the R-Spec.
Leon, Not saying he pulled one over on you, but he dosen't know the truth about some things and is just making stuff up to try and please you. That's why I'd be weary.
The only thing that's not added at the factory is the optional summer tires, trunk mat and I pod cable. All of the badging is done at the factory, by machines, to make sure they are positioned correctly.
Here in SoCal, I see them as they drive off the boats and have a friend who works at the import facility where they prep them for shipment to the dealers. So yes, I do know a little about the subject.
Someone took it off for a reason. Maybe to act as a sleper as they drove it the 5K miles and cought a few unsuspecting people in a race?
Hopefully you don't have any issues with it and will enjoy it. I'd just be a bit leary of the dealer and take some of what they say with a grain of salt.![]()
