  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Took the Equus in for the 15K service tonight, and they gave me a platinum Genesis as a loaner. I can't believe how much the steering and suspension have improved over my original '09. In fact, the steering was so much tighter/heavier I thought I was in Sport mode by accident... But there isn't one.
The 8 speed was noticeable compared to the ZF that I had (have), but I think I'd get used to it pretty quickly.
Also think the Michelins must play a part compared to the original Dunflops.

I only posted this to congratulate those driving one, and to encourage those that aren't:
If you're on the fence, grab one of these before they disappear for 2013.

And for the record, I LOVED the '09 Gen!

As a 4.6 owner I appreciate the encouraging words.

Getting new tires on Saturday. Still have the original Dunlop @ 31k miles. Maybe I'm used to BMW's too much, but the ride & handling in the Genesis isn't a big deal to me at all. I'm trying to think of a complaint and all I can come up with is the passenger seat not going up and down.

TJ, what tire have you decided as a replacement?

I am still riding on the org. Dunlaps with around 22,000 miles. Measured the tread depth across all 4 tires (outside, middle and inside tread) and they indicate a depth of 6/32 to 7/32 accross the tire. I will most likely replace tires around 4/32 tread depth.

Thpught I would add a comment. Check this link for the tire test re: Kumho, Bridgestone, Michelin. I picked the Serenity tire because of the performance on wet track, very impressive. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/chartDisplay.jsp?ttid=112

I put on the new General GMAX ultra high performance all season. It sharpened up the steering and tracks great. Happy with them.

As a FL driver, I went with Michelin Pilot Super Sports and could not be happier. Quiet, soft, no tire pull, take corners like a slot car, and I got them for a grand. Excellent summer tire.
