2012 Driver Information System Manual not current

I found that the Driver Information System Manual linked is not for the 2012 Genesis sedan. Although I could not download from this website, folydb went to the extra effort to email me a copy as I have been trying to obtain an electronic copy since I got my car a month ago.

In the linked document the software package is totally different with different menus and the Nav displayed has push buttons located on both sides and along the bottom of the screen. I assume the manual is for the previous model Genesis.

I asked Hyundai how to download a copy and was informed that it “was not available”.

I downloaded the 2012 manuals from the Hyundai Tech Info website and reposted them where others could easily and quickly download them. I don't yet have a Genesis (buying end of July), so it's not immediately obvious to me if the manuals aren't the right ones. Foleydb downloaded what the site told him to for 2012. The manuals are under the tab "Service Information," subheading "OM" at hyundaitechinfo.com/. For the 2012, the site links both the tech model and the touchscreen model to the same touchscreen manual (105 pages 23.76 MB). The site just has an error.

After discovering that, I then started looking through older manuals, and it turns out that the tech manual has not changed since 2010. So, if you need the 2012 tech DIS manual, use the 2011 model. The manual that came with my 2012 is dated 5/2010, and is identical to the 2010/2011 manual. Looks like the tech software has not changed in years. I'm a little shocked. Given how clunky parts of the nav software are on the tech package, you'd think Hyundai would have been working on it.

Thanks to 2012Rspec for figuring out the problem. I downloaded the 2011 DIS manual and uploaded it to Skydrive so anyone can download it from there. The link is below. If this is not the right one, reply and I'll see about fixing this again.

foleydb, thank you so much for posting the manuals. I just bought a 2012 Genesis Sedan, and I was looking for these before I pulled the trigger to help figure some things out about the car.

This is my first post on the forum, by the way. I look forward to learning about my car from everyone who came before me.
