Note, Hyundai states their new eight-speed transmission has "Shifttronic", which I think is a domain-protected name owned by ZF. I suspect that Hyundai is manufacturing this transmission in-house using ZF patents and technology under license from ZF.
Note also, the 2012 V8 does not have direct fuel injection, whereas the R-Spec motor does. What this demonstrates is that the V8 motor is capable of direct injection. At some later date I think it is reasonable to expect to see a 4.6 with direct injection and higher compression producing about 395 hp.
It seems like 2012 Genny doesn't have the BlueLink. This is ridiculous!
I agree... I think the suspension is tweaked, and that's about it.I read the R spec will have a "sport" suspension but no word on the option to let the driver select the suspension mode, unless of course they integrated the option through the NAVI screen and center knob and got rid of the suspension mode button next to the shifter, but that is whishful thinking at this moment.
Did I read correctly that the new 8 speed transmission is going to have paddle shifters from the V-6 thru the R Series?
Wow!
I suppose Blue Link won't be ready before they release the Genny. A shame, really - I was really hoping to see it on that model.
