  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2012...

Nobody turns around bad quality and workmanship in one year.... I've had Chryslers with great warranties! What good is the warranty when 60% of the time its in the shop! I guarantee you'll regret any Chrysler purchase unless its a mini-van!

"Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from Hyundai."

Just saying...

You guys are tough but the advice is appreciated. Getting antsy and very tired of driving our what was the 3rd car, a '98 Ford Explorer. What doesn't help is wife loves the "looks and amenities" of the '11 300C. She heard AC passenger seat and cooled cup holders... Actually I would prefer blind spot warning system to Genesis lane departure system but but have their pros and cons.

Hey Tom... sorry, my attempt at humor was misinterpreted - I was just sort of quoting Tommy Boy, 'cause of Matt's warranty comment.

The 300C is not for me. The looks are just "meh" (to me, personally). I suppose it's not so bad from a features and performance standpoint, but I am conservative when it comes to car lines and what not. Also, I wouldn't buy a Chrysler or anything GM right now. For American products, the only one putting out decent cars at the moment is Ford. Again, just my opinion based on the whole combination of looks, performance and features.

The 300C comparison to the Genny is a fair one.

Hey no offense taken at all. This is a great forum for exchanging ideas and opinions. What I really dislike about the 300C is that they are again recycling the old overhead valve and heavy 5.7 engine and the old 5 speed. Maybe tried and true but old technology and thirsty. Wife still loves the Chrysler though.

Mmmm... new pics:

Sign me up for a Black Beauty!!!

And I will make it my mission to somehow import one of those piano black trimmed steering wheels!

not to offend anyone... what would it look like w/o the whisker moulding on front bumper corners and the chrome moulding down the sides and around rear bumper.

i'm a clean look kind of guy... chrome moulding is too much for me I think. still love the car and planning on getting one as soon as van paid off...

i wonder if there's paint under that stuff?

then again, maybe it will grow on me... i removed the pin stripes from our van but then paid to replace them afterwards cause in the end i liked 'em.

re: 300 C... very nice. also worried about reliability and how thirsty it is. 8spd 5.0 ftw.

re: piano black - also love it!

300c is 15/25 in rwd and 15/23 in awd. I think the chassis is E Mercedes and the 5 speed auto is also the old Mercedes slush box. It is an attractive car but as others have stated, reliability may be the issue. That car is like the girl your mama told you not to take home...

And Still No Cooled Passenger Seat

And still after all these years no cooled passenger seat. The only think I have been waiting on.
Even the Avalon has had that for a couple years.
I guess they see this as a driver's car only!

That would be welcome news. Getting tired of waiting.

Alright folks... I didn't want to create a new thread on the 2012's... so I will just post the results of my latest espionage mission here:

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Damn, now I'm wanting a 2012 and just got the 2011 4.6 tech. this past September.

Dude... I hear ya. I'm almost glad my wife dipped into my down payment money to pay for our vacation - otherwise I would have picked one up in March. Now I find myself (im)patiently waiting for a 2012. You could always trade up... who knows, maybe your dealer won't kill you too much on the trade.

Aww........ the pictures ended up on the previous page. Go back a page, folks!

This is my favorite of the bunch:

That is one beautiful car. Great work! Thanks.

Nice looking but it looks like the 4.6 is getting the same old Dunlop's. I would have rather seen Blind Spot Warning oppose to Lane Departure Warning. Cool temp setting and height adjustment on passenger seat would be nice. For me the Chrome strip around the the bottom front vent will take some getting use to as I think it just makes for a little to much chrome.
I don't know about adding the exhaust tips in to the rear bumper. I had this set up on a Lexus LS460 and where as I had no problems some owners complained of discoloration due to the heat from the exhaust which was more noticeable on light colored cars.
The pictures comparing the two different years are nice. In that my 2010 is just a year old I may opt for changing out my lights. I really like the rear lights of the 2012, would be allot cheaper than trading.:)
