  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I got my car back. Well it was still leaking and the tech decided he didn't need to put my skid plate back on (was pissed about it still leaking and the fact they left things off my car). Took it back, this time they replaced the transmission gasket itself and I made sure they put my skid plate back on. Two weeks go by, went back to have them put it on the lift to look at it again.

They allowed me to look at it with them. STILL leaking. Ok, now I am just like WTF here guys. Well they take pictures and said they are going to e-mail whoever they e-mail at Hyundai.

I get a call back later that night and the service adviser tells me the news. Hyundai has authorized a bran new transmission to be ordered and installed. They said since this is the third time for the same reason, they are not going to mess with it, in a sense, and just put a new transmission in. Transmission is being crate ordered and should be in around the 2nd of June. Unreal man.

I offered to sell my car to a guy on the forum. I am SO glad he wanted something different as far as packages go. I would have felt horrible to sell something like this to anyone...

Wish me Luck :o

Luck.

Buck up, Oscar. Your car is under warranty.

Finally got my car back last Wednesday on the 18th. Was at the dealer for 2 1/2 weeks. When I went to go pick it up, check engine light was on! Tech said he needed to flash an update to the TCM. After he did that, no check engine light since that update.

Car drives smooth, glad to have her back. Had an elantra for that time, and let me tell ya, Different worlds driving an elantra and a genesis.

Was there a choice of a better car at the time?
A Genesis owner should deserve at least an Azera when a comparable model is not available at the time of service.
This is where Hyundai really has to pay big attention to if it wants to compete with other big boys.
My $0.02

You think they would have noticed the Check Engine light on before they even called you to say the vehicle is ready!!

I don't want to sound like I'm beating up on Service Tech's because most of them really do deserve the title of "Technician" while some of them I wouldn't let touch my daughters bicycle!
