  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2013 3.8 Genesis Sedan with less than 2,000 miles. The brakes started vibrating after 1,000 mile. I brought the car in three times. On this third time the car has been in the shop for two weeks. They tell me they are bringing a second Hyundai engineer in to look at the car. It feels like the rotors are warped but they tell me they replaced them and it did not help. Does anyone have any ideas. I suggested it may be the power hold or the electronic parking brake but got no reaction. The dealership is very nice and they gave me an Elantra as a loaner. What should I do? Just wait? Thanks for your help. gldman

Search online for the Lemon Law rules in your state, and start gathering detailed records and documentation of the amount of time the car has been in the shop. If you think you qualify for a refund/replacement vehicle, then take appropriate action.

I had the same issue in my 2013 genny it came as soon as i crossed 1200 Miles took it to the dealer they inspected and found nothing. The problem went away by itself mine was only evident for 2-3 minutes and was random so it was hard to investigate and only happened at speeds lower than 30MPH, specially if you are used to pumping the brakes and keep it pressed for long times (on slopes) or pressing them too gently. I have 2100 miles on it now no vibrations so far. Give some more time may be its getting used to your driving skills.

1st Demand a Genesis loaner. There not being nice giving you an Elantra,
You just bought a new car and its not safe and has been in the shop 3 x and over 2 weeks. Get Mad:mad:

Today the second Hyundai engineer ordered new calipers which should arrive on Monday. The service people continue to be nice. As for the loaner they would give me a sonata but it does not seem worth driving back to the dealership for that change. Thanks all for your comments.

They tried the Sonata on me and I simply said, I'm not driving that. I've been given a Genesis ever since. The Sonata is not a particularly charming vehicle.if you bought a rear drive auto.

My dealer doesn't give me a loaner rather arranges for a premium rental from Enterprise , yes a premium rental. The last time my car was in the shop for a day enterprise gave me C-250.
