  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2013 Genesis R-spec 5.0 1/4 mile times

Re:"4# Leave the car in drive and remember to turn the ECO mode off!"

Observation #3: With block under accelerator pedal and ECO on car shifted (in drive) each time at 1800 rpm

I like this mod for Valet parking :)

I wonder why the big difference. I ran my 2014 5.0 bone stock. No mods. 13.29 @106.6mph. And the "ECO" mode isn't something you can shut off. All you're shutting off is the indicator that lets you know when you are driving "economically".

nice times!

I ran four 13.9x @ around 101mph runs last night in the quarter at Bradenton Motorsports Park. Trunk was full of stuff including subwoofer, briefcase, air mattress, toolbox, etc.

I launched around 1500-2k RPM, just left it in D. Tried both ESC on and ESC off. My best result was 13.91 @ 101 with ESC off.

That's weird....I ran 13.2 @ 107 at the same track with a stock car (10k miles). Temperature was about 60 at the time. ESC OFF resulted in better times for me also.

I pulled air out of the tires and my 2013 GDI V6 ran 14.807 almost identical twice!

Anybody have any info on 1/4 miles times on the R-spec? Went to the drag strip this weekend, for my first time, and ran 14.7 at 99 mph. The car has cat deletes and exhaust cutouts.

Video Clip of run:
Hey guys try this , get some fatter rear tires , more sticky and put them on wheels that are 2 " smaller in diameter. That raises the rear gear ratio , keep watch on the trap RPM's . This is just for a drag race strategy.
