Hi all,
So about a week ago, my Genesis Coupe 2.0T crashed into a car in front of me...
mad
The damage was quite extensive even though the crash occurred while traffic was moving 2mph...
The hood was badly damaged and basically I needed new bumpers, hoods, headlights, radiator etc.
Right after the accident, I noticed that when I lock the car with the smart key, the car no longer beeps... After reading many threads in this forum, people seem to say that some rubber piece was missing which prevented the beep when you lock it.
1) My car beeps when I unlock... Does that mean the hood isn't the problem?
So my car is now in the shop, and my biggest concern is whether or not the dealership can fix the beep so my car will beep again. I'm confident the shop can physically fix the outside... But it's the beep that makes me worried...
If my auto shop fixes the hood, should that fix the beep as well?
Thank you to all who can give some input on this. I appreciate it!
