  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2013 Hyundai Genesis Sedans Released (?)

Good news is that Hyundai dealerships in Texas are holding tent sales for 2012 models. This is typically a sign that the 2013 models are on the way which they obviously are, but the tent sales are used for clearance.
Good news indeed.

Buying a genesis in November if the cards fall right.

I've got cash burning a hole in my pocket ready to by my 2013 R-Spec!

Hey Guys, just and FYI for you.

As I sat here at work this week on the west coast, I saw the new Genney's rolling off the ship and over to the customs/shipping yard. So they should be rolling out of here soon.

I didn't have time to check and see if any were R Specs. I'f I see them load up on the trucks to ship out, I'll try and get a better look at what they are. I'll at least post up when I see them shipping out. But they are here.

Hey Crusty,

Are you in San Pedro? What do you do for a living. My Dad's a retired longshoreman, so just thought I'd ask.

David

Naw, I work up in Port Hueneme. That's where they come in. I'm retired Navy, hence the screen name. I still work for the Navy as a civilian.

Oh, cool - we have some friends up there in the 'nard. I'd assumed all the cars came through the Port of LA...learned something new. :)

Awesome! Thanks for providing some genesis recon and intel for us. Looks like my November purchase date just might happen.
I sure hope some of those are package 3 vehicles ( tech package)

Hyundai, Kia, Mazda and BMW all come into the country here.

Caddy CTS, Camaro's, and Buick Enclaves all leave the country from here. ;)

I found the parking lot this morning on my way in that holds the Genneys. I'll have to do a drive by later when the sun is out and check for some R Spec's. ;) I saw White, Gray, and black.

Edit: I found teh Genney's but no R Spec that I could see. But I did find a lot of Equus sitting in the lot, more than the Genney's.

Interesting to know. when I search all 427 (currently) Hyundai Genesis vehicles, they all seem to be the 3.8L with either the base model (package 1) or the premium model (package 2) but I'm not seeing any of the package 3 vehicles which have the technology package. Nor, am I seeing the R-Specs out there right now.

I have always wondered why they do that? I guess it has to do with production, imports, and exports?

Tech package is marked as "delayed availability" at Hyundai's web site.

What's up everyone. First time blogger here, and new owner of a 2013 Genesis Sedan 3.8L V6. I must say the car drives extremely smooth and I've been very impressed with its fuel consumption which has been averaging 21 mpg. This is my first V6, and when riding on the highway it's hard to notice when you're going 80mph because it honestly feels like you're going 50...that's how smooth this bad boy drives.

Before upgrading to the Genesis sedan, I had the 2.0T Coupe which I loved, but traded it in because I was looking to move on to a bigger car with more trunk space. I was pretty pumped when I got the 2013 model because I was actually working out a deal for the 2012, but since there were no 2012 models with the package I was looking for I ended up getting the 2013 for the same price. The dealership didn't have any in stock and had to end up shipping it down from Delray Beach, FL (I live in Miami, FL). I leased it on 10/06/12 and was told I was probably the first in Dade County to drive one, which I thought was pretty cool since they weren't expecting any in stock until the end of this month.

Some of the new features I love are the interiors (with the leather and wood trimming), the dual illuminating vanity mirrors, the front LED headlights (which look badass), as well as the interior LED lights, just to name a few. I'm thinking of maybe getting some bigger wheels since they came with 17s, so I'll welcome all suggestions. Again, this is all new to me so I'll most likely be on here often as I'm an enthusiast for Hyundai's, especially the Genesis models!
