First Generation 2013 R-Spec Tire Options

Does the 2013 Genesis R-Spec support the same P245/45R19 tires that the 2012 R-Spec does? I am looking for a set of new all-season tires for my 2013.

Somebody put Michelin Premier LTXs on my car which are totally wrong for a sport sedan. They are an SUV/Pickup/Crossover tire with the wrong speed rating.

What I am looking for in tires are something that will give my Genesis 5.0 R-Spec a feel similar to my Camaro SS. I know I am comparing apples to oranges and wondering why they don't taste the same (Camaro SS is an all-out sports car and the R-Spec is a sport sedan).

What I want is this. I want tires that will make that car corner like it is glued to the road and also tighten up the steering. I want them to track straight and when I flick the wheel a few millimeters to the right or the left, I want the car to do what I tell it to.

Right now, I'm trying to decide between the BF Goodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S, the Nitto Movitos (had them on the camaro and liked them a lot), and the Pirelli P-Zeros.

Any ideas or advice?

They both had the exact same rims, so yes.

I would look at Tirerack.com for customer ratings of tires. Discount Tire also has customer feed back on tires, but only based on 1-5 stars with comments, not in specific categories like Tirerack.com.

I was about to get new set of wheels and tires for my (previous car) '13 Rspec. Those OEM 8'' width rims are joke for a car with over 420 hp.
If I didn't trade it in for a '15 5.0, I would probably go with ~9'' on the front and 10 on the back.

I have the BFGs on my 2013 and I like them a lot. I also had Uniq rigid collars installed at the same time, with 4 wheel alignment. I'm thrilled with the transformation!

Nope, I had the dealer install mine, mount the tires and do the alignment. The cost to install the collars was around $95, plus the cost of everything else.
I don't have a lot of time to do much on the car myself.
There is a thread in the DIY section that has a great write-up on doing it yourself though.
Definitely do an alignment immediately after installation.

So I've decided on the BF Goodrich G Force tires and a set is on order as we speak. I'll get them installed either today or tomorrow and let you know how they work out.

Just got the new tires on this afternoon and man alive, what a difference! Steering is nice and tight now and handling and braking are excellent. We are in a drought where I live right now, so I can't speak for wet weather handling, but I expect it will be excellent as well.

I 100% recommend these tires in the P245/45R19 size for the 2012-14 Genesis 5.0 R-Spec sedans.

I keep them at 34psi. But that's just my preference.

My R Spec has 235's, not 245's. Anyone have an opinion as to using the plus size (245) handling, ride quality etc?? I know the 245's are actually a bit cheaper.

DO IT!!! It will make a world of difference! Get a good set of them like the BFGs I got or any number of others.

The P245/45R19s were an option on the 2012 R-Spec, but they should have been standard. I think those came with Bridgestone Pole Position summer tires, but I put a set of BFG G-Force Comp 2 all-seasons on it. They will fit just fine on your stock wheels if you are still running them.
