  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Using the tune Tramp by Steve Miller as a test, my 2010 sounded great. Using the exact same source (CD) with my 2015 it sounds thin and hollow without any "presence". I played with all the adjustments and it still sounds like c**p compared to my 2010. Both my wife and I have sat in the car and listened to various "settings" and it really doesn't sound at all like the 2010. When I move the bass slider from 0 thru to 10, I can barely perceive a difference in bass.
Is this the "way it is" or is something wrong with my radio.
I haven't yet compared it to another 14 speaker car (we're on the road) and I will do that when we get home, but the 2015 just doesn't seem to have anything compared to my 2010.

Thanks

Some other members who have used both audio systems have said similar things. Don't know if the 2015 audio can be adjusted, or if that's just the way it is.

I've noticed exactly the same except my experience is with the Lexicon 17 speaker setup. I owned a 2012 Genesis 4.6 of which the sound system was absolutely amazing. A powerhouse of sound and dynamic range which I've never before experienced in a vehicle. I recently traded for a 2015 Genny 4.6 Ultimate with the same 17 speaker Lexicon system but notice dramatically less punch and low volume dynamics than the older system. I' have a background in audio systems and pretty good acumen for audio but even without that background there exists a huge downgrade from the new to the old identical sound systems. I am hugely disappointed.
