If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys,

So my wife and I are looking to get a car in the next 3-6 months. We currently live in NYC and are moving out to the NJ burbs, so we will spring right before closing on a house.

I am trying to verify three things: Timing of 2015/2016, spot-checking a lease quote, and the packaging.

TIMING

What is the timing on inventory on the 2015s versus the incoming 2016s? I am just trying to get the best lease, so a leftover is ideal. We are also pretty set on a particular configuration, and dont want to miss out on deteriorating inventory. I am not sure if there is a certain cutoff time we should be working with here, as we may need to shell out getting the car early and paying to garage it in NYC prior to the move. (We dont have a car now in NYC, and dont really need one while we are in NYC).

LEASE QUOTE FROM LEASING BROKER

2015 Genesis, 3.8L, AWD, with Signature Package
Empire gray on ivory
$0 down, but with tax, title, and fees out of pocket
36 months, 10k/year
$435-$450/mo (again, excludes tax)

PACKAGING

Just looking at signature only (really just want the pano roof and some basic creature comforts). Does this still come with Nav, even though i am not stepping up to the tech package?

Thanks guys

wow, i am seeing on another thread that people are getting the same setup, with more miles, for a couple hairs over $400/mo.

Guess my question is - when is there still 2015 inventory hanging around? Dont want to end up paying an extra $100+/mo for a 2016 because i waited a month or two too long.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Hey, I was also looking for the same Genesis setup in the next 2 months, NY area.

I've been reading these forums for the past 3-4 months... I'm very surprised of the quote you got, especially from a leasing company! :(

3.8L AWD, signature, I was hoping it would be closer to $400 WITH taxes. How much are the total out of pocket costs were you quoted for?

and yes, all Genesis come with Navi.

Not sure on the math for total pocket costs.

Did you get quotes? Any luck with specific dealerships?

Before you sign on the Pano roof, you might want to take a look at the problems other owners on the forum are having.

I just wrapped up a lease for 3.8 AWD with signature package about 2 weeks ago. white/grey interior

-$400 per mo including taxes (most of them anyway)
-36mo/10k
-The total out of pocket was about $1500. I don't recall the exact breakdown offhand but it was something like this: first month, bank fee, dmv fee, taxes on rebates used.
-I was able to use the $1000 loyalty rebate since we currently had another Hyundai registered to us.

I am also in NY. We did this at a dealer on Long Island and the particular guy we dealt with was great. No pressure, just wanted to help us get it done. If either of you guys are willing to go out to LI I will gladly give you the contact info.

Jordanrs1980, please PM the dealer details as well.

My current lease is up at the end of October, so I'm hoping the 2016 Genny models will drive the price down of the 2015's by that time. Will start a serious search next month. Very excited! :D

I sent you guys a PM. For some reason it doesn't seem to show that it sent on my end. Let me know if you received it on yours. If not, I will just post it here.

I know this thread is old, but how the heck did some of you lease that cheaply? I'm looking at 2016's and I understand they will be a bit higher since they just came out, but I still can't get anyone below $549 with 2k down on a 12k/36month lease. Even truecar bottoms out at $514.

If anyone has any sales persons emails or contact I'm ready to call them and pick up a car asap. My goal would be $450 with 2k down, but lower would be awesome. 3.8AWD with signature package 12k/36mo is all I'm looking for.

If you're in Florida I can beat all of these prices.

I live in FL and about to go look at another Genesis this morning.
where are you located?
Can you pm or email your contact info? Would rather deal with a member here than a generic internet sales person. At least you have an appreciation for these cars.
Thank you
John

for a 39msrp car, I wouldnt pay no more than 330 a month tax included, zero drive off , 15k miles a year. any more and u are getting reemed. do a search on lease on this forum.

for the base model, the market values it as a 30k car inline with maxima and chrysler 300. it will eventually gravitate to that price.

add another 2.5k for sig pack, 5k for tech pack and 7.5k for ultimate

I wish, stuck in NJ. Anyone have any NJ deals? I'm about to defect and look at a GS350 AWD 2015 advertised for 419, probably less after I negotiate the MSRP.

No one is even close to that at every dealer I've asked, and I've walked out. If the agreed price is 39k, where else can you shave the numbers? Higher residual? Lower MF? I'm not sure where to beat the sales guy up besides the MSRP, residual and MF.

If leasing through hyundai then your only focus is on the price of the car itself. Residual and money factor are set by hyundai.

You sir, are on another planet.

About to finalize this next week:
2016 AWD with signature package
12k/36mo
MF 00046
Residual 58%
MSRP was a bit under 46k, I negotiated it to a bit over 40k

With 2k down it's an even $400/month. No MSD's available through Hyundai per the dealer rep. What do you guys think? 40k was 3k below invoice and I didn't think I could haggle lower than that, I actually walked out and they let me walk out so I got the feeling they were at their bottom number.
