2015/2016 Lease Rates

I leased a 2015 Genesis 3.8 w/ Signature package last week. Opted for a
36 month lease with 12k miles per year. No money down except first month payment. Ended up with $299 a month.

Watch out for "end-loaded" charges like:

1. Redemption fees

2. Processing fees

3. Phonied up damage charges.

Leasing offers a wonderful deal up front - I see Sonata's going for $129/month now.

I just wish.

2016 3.8 RWD Tech in SoCal leased on 2/29/16, 36 mo/15K, MSRP $47230.
Effective cap cost $40230, residual $25504, MF 0.00045.
Drive offs $1300 (1st pmt, tax, DMV, doc).
$438/mo plus CA tax.
Dealer ate the acq fee and some tax on rebates.
Lease rebate $3000, Conquest $1000 for February. March deals would be similar payment but higher residual due to lease cash reduced to $2000, MF 0.00038 and residual pushed to 60% IIRC.

This is about $2K better than Truecar.com. Unless there is another undisclosed incentive, I calculate that I got half of the holdback. Unfortunately in the shop already with a bad high-pressure fuel pump.
