  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Yeah I know another one... but hear me out.

So I've been doing a ton of research and hunting and so far this topic has me more confused than anything else.

All I want to do is change out the stock mufflers for something with a better sound (no drone or less is better) and go to quad tips. I've read a lot about the Dynomax VT (Super turbos?) being an excellent option and almost OEM fitment... however no one really ever mentions the model number of them. And as for quad tips no one ever says which brand/model they went with.. they just say "put quad tips on" with no other information.

I've seen a ton of threads but not a single one is straight forward to the point. Most are started then just left to die, no pictures, videos etc...

check out my flowmaster setup, let me know what you think!

Never been a Flowmaster fan as they kinda rot out after awhile. I prefer magnacharger or Borla for their stainless steel design. I had a Flowmaster on my Firebird when i first got it and the internal baffles rusted out and got stuck inside rattling around, and then one somehow plugged the muffler and blew out the bottom when i made a run at a drag strip, scare the hell outta me lol now i just run a turbo as a muffler LOL but that's another story lol

Hello Sebastian,
Thank you for sharing!
The car looks great and I really like the sound of your setup.
I’m a fellow owner from Melbourne Australia.
I’m looking to go down a similar path. I was hoping to ask you what it is like to live with in order to make a more informed decision in terms oh how/if I got about it.

Are there any noticeable changes you’ve encountered after installing the setup? (Error codes ect.)

Are you able to maintain quiet in the cabin with doors windows sealed? (Providing you’re not at W.O.T)

What has been the impact on fuel consumption post modification?

Any information your able to share is much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi! No error codes, and no impact on mpg. There is drone present when accelerating but when coasting it’s relatively quiet. It all depends on the muffler you install. If I were you I’d keep the resonators and only swap/delete stock mufflers
