If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. What do you know about the 15 5.0 fuel system? fuel pump size? Injector size ? And location ? I took the cover off and didn't see a fuel rail? My first gdi car:) e 85 compatible? stock compression and timing? Any info would help ....thanks in advance

The compression for the V8 is 11.8:1 (sorry, that's all I got).

Here is some more info:

5.0L V8 Engine
DOHC 32-valve V8 with CVVT
420 hp @ 6,000 RPM (Premium Fuel)
383 lb.-ft. @ 5,000 RPM (Premium Fuel)
11.8:1 Compression Ratio
Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI)
Tuned Intake System (TIS)

there is a video floating around on the GDI system on the V6, I assume it would be similar to the V8. The fuel rails look like they are deep in the V of each engine, under the intake manifold so they are very hard to see. The high pressure pump is on the driver's side valve cover and is driven by a lobe on the camshaft.

And don't use E85, scary things will happen to your engine...

BIG NO on E85

I run e85 om my cobra ...with tune and e85 compatible pumps injection. Made 120 rwhp with more boost and timing....good times. ?.im not try I ng to do all that if its just a tune ....and dont really want to pull the intake to on tap fuel line ....fml ....no easy way to do this....gurr. ...where did you get ur info ? Any one know if r spec headers fit the 15? Any real power there ?.. any one run custom exhaust with good results orjust the off shelf magna flo? I thought nitro would be eazy 75 hp ....I guess nothing is eazy ....dammit

The e85 is on a 03 cobra 590 on 93 octane. 710 on e85. ?..more boost more timing ... my gen 2 5.0 is stock at the moment.... I have brembos slotted drilled rotors and
ads waiting to go on along with a zex wet kit .... but not looking to pull the intake. Was hoping to tap in to a fuel line or something accessible

your issue is going to be tuning. these ECUs are notoriously difficult to crack. I have a Shelby GT500 and looked into going E85 but decided that at 730 rwhp the chassis was basically maxed out and adding more power would simply make the car worse.

I have modified my Genesis extensively and am currently working on some one off engine and performance mods that I can't share much about right now.

Good luck - hope it works out.

My 03 is heavily modified and I've read that about the Genesis computer that's why I was looking at the nitrous wet system I figure I could get in hundred horsepower without a tune... ps do u track ur gt500 ? What tires do u run.....

Nitto invo front with nitto nt05 drag radials in the rear.

The engineering videos on drive are always very informative.
