  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have me car in for my first service, and one issue I've asked them to check is an air leak under my dash in the area of the steering wheel. Durning winter weather, I am getting very cold air, as if from the outside. It's not a huge amount, but it does not seem normal.

I seem to recall someone else posting a similar issue, perhaps with a solve, but I cannot find it with a search.

The dealer is telling me that it's normal air flow from the climate control (even though I can turn it off, and the cold air persists).

If anyone can let me know if you have seen this issue, and if it's normal, or if you have a solve.

I've not noticed this on mine, does not sound normal. "That's normal" is the dealer's first line of defense for everything.

Check it isn't the side window demister vent deflecting off the window and back towards the steering wheel. My wife complains about that all the time on the passenger side.

Thanks for the reply... nope,... this is well under the dash even with the climate control totally off.
