  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

the 5.0 was never an option for me as i wanted AWD and my last vehicle was a V8, i would have preferred if hyundai released a new engine to go with the 2nd gen or just put a SC on the 3.8..

It would be easier for owners to take this poll if they previously owned the V8. I thought my 2011 4.6 was a great car but the 2015 3.8 feels a hell of a lot more nimble. The weight reduction in the front and two more gears makes up for a lot of HP. The 5 mpg improvement across the board doesn't hurt!

I just traded in my 2011 Hyundai Genesis 4.6 for the new 2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 AWD. I kinda cry because first; I have never owned a 6 cylinder. Before cars, all my vehicles were 8 cylinder, 4WD pickup trucks. Than cars, all V8, RWD drive. Climate changes. After I brought my Genesis 4.6 every winter I had to park it. Not good in snow. So this year, I make the trade to a 3.8 AWD Hyundai Genesis. Base package with the Signature upgrade. So far I love this car. It is peppy, but would it beat my 4.6, I don't know. But what I do know, love and appreciate; when it snowed this past weekend, I did not, I repeat, did not have to park in the street, get out my car and shovel my driveway before backing up into it (slightly inclined). The 2015 Hyundai Genesis AWD had no problem backing up into my driveway.

My experience with the Hyundai Genesis 4.6 convince me to stay with the Hyundai brand. I could have brought a Chrysler 300 or a Dodge Charger both AWD and 8 cylinder, but I choose the Hyundai Genesis 3.8 AWD. Its only been 5 days but, so far, no regrets. Just smiles and its going to snow again this weekend.:) Honestly, if the Hyundai Genesis 5.0 had HTRAC, I would have gone that way :D
