2015 Genesis 5.0 Android Auto / Apple Car Play Available after update

No. The 9.2" screen, the jog dial, the Ultimate, or whatever you want to call it will not ever have CP or AA. Like playing your Betamax tapes in the VHS, it just will not happen. You can't play your 8 track tapes in the cassette player. You can't use Polaroid film in your Kodak Instamatic.

You won't get it with V14, V15, or V16 either. You can get in on a 2018 MY or newer though.

No you do not... it only updates maps and poi and the poi is still really out of date on version 13 everywhere I traveled. In the end not worth it, mapnsoft did a poor job and Hyundai has been a joke with the ultimate models.

No. If you have the jog dial you won’t get AA or ACP, On 2015-2017 AA and ACP only get added to the base 8” no jog dial unit.

The unit with the jog dial 2015-2017 uses different hardware that is incompatible with AA or ACP. 2018 forward all trim levels have AA and ACP from the factory.

Apparently. You used to be able to get AA/CP for free with a download (which included v8). I did that about a year ago. I saw some more recent postings that indicated that it is no longer free.

Of course, MY head unit has issues with phone calls when my iPhone is plugged in via USB. The local dealer couldn't reproduce the problem (long story) and then my 3-year warranty on the radio expired...

Sorry, I should have clarified that it was only for the non-Ultimate versions. But I thought I read recently that someone with a compatible car was told that the updated firmware was no longer available for anyone.

Only a guess but maybe the keywords here are AA/CP “for free”. It was free, it’s not anyone
 
I've seen alternative software (hacked) that was able to get AA/ACP, but you lost most of the features on the system. Not something I'd consider at this time.

The only time I miss having CP is on a road trip when I want to use WAZE to see where the cops are.

Yes my main reason for wanting it.. Waze is the best to me.
 
Not with jog dial and the update is not great.... poi are still out of date on new version.
