  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Can you copy music files to your cars hard drive. If so how do you do it. Or, can you do it on the Non V8 ultimate ??

Mine copied music to the hard drive. However, since it only has around 700 MB, I put all my music on an external USB.

On the 3.8 model you can only copy over if your have the ultimate package. I have the tech and thought you could, but found I was wrong :-(

Maybe it's different for the middle-east? I do not have the 9.2 inch HD display, but I could copy music from my USB thumb drive and my android phone when put into USB mass storage mode.

Unless you have the ultimate package, there is no hard drive, just a 6GB solid state memory.

The memory location is called "My Music".

You can only "Save" one song at a time and only from the USB port. You cannot save from a CD.

Unfortunately, it can't tell if you try to store the same song twice. It doesn't seem to display the duplicate. It just plays the song again.

Rotten functionality. All that technology and no provision for storing a MP3 library of any size.

One owner said the limit of songs on a USB stick is around 5800.

So, don't go crazy trying to put 20,000 songs on one thumb drive. They won't be recognized beyond the first 5800.

Of course most of us don't have such an extensive library.

Thanks for the Info on USB limit.

I have the 3.8 with the tech package and it tells me if I have a song already stored. A message pops up that says this song is copied would you like to copy it again, or something to that effect. I then cancel the copy.
It is silly and cumbersome to have to copy each song separately.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
will it recognize music stored on my ipod classic?

Probably not. IPod Classic used an outmoded Apple communication method which modern cars usually don't support. If a car had 30-pin support it would work with Classics.

Oh well. For less than $50 bucks I can buy a USB flash drive that will hold my entire digital music collection.

I have a 2015 Genesis 3.8 ultimate tech RWD and can not figure out how to upload a image to my NAV screen. I insert the USB and the picture pop up under the "IMAGE" tab but does not give me a option to up download/save. Also my download center keeps telling me that my car can not be authenticated and to contact customer support which I have contacted hyundaiusa and blue link and they are clueless. Any help would be appreciated
