  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is anyone having problems with very cold air blowing from upper a/c vents?
Even with the heater running, after 15-20 minutes of driving, cold air blows from the dash AC vents, most passengers try to close off the vents because even raising the temp control into the 80's does not correct the problem.

I first noticed this last winter and it has continued. Summer same problem, I have been keeping the auto AC set for 79-81 degrees F. Still get the cold air.

I have had my 2015 Genesis 3.8 AWD w Tech Pkg for 15 months, 20,000 miles.

If you have it set to Auto, the system will always try to keep the temp in the car to your desired set temp (as noted above 79-81 degrees). If the temp inside the car is hotter than the 79-81 degrees you have it set at, the AC will kick on until that temp is met. Turn off the Auto function and you should be good to go unless there is something wrong with your system.

I live is South Florida. I keep mine around 76 degrees and when I stop at the store on the way home from work and shut the car off, when I get back into the car and start it, the AC starts blowing with the fans kicked up on high to cool the car back down quickly. Once the 76 degrees is met, the fans kick back down.

There is another thread about this but I still can't figure it out. How exactly to you turn auto off?

Here you go. Let me know if this doesn't clarify it for you.
