  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

A few weeks ago I posted of my interest in the Genesis. This afternoon I went to the dealership and test drove one. Very impressed! The Sales Manager let me take it home for the weekend, so I will explore the features. There is a lot to explore. One area that I'm really going to explore is the seat adjustment. During the test drive and the drive home, I was not 100% comfortable in the seat, but I'm sure I can dial in the right adjustment with some time. My favorite feature so far is the heads up display. Other that the slight discomfort in the seat, no negatives. The engine is very smooth and the transmission shifts are imperceptible. Monday I think I'm going to seal the deal. BTW, its white with the beige interior. It does have the tires that have been the issue, but I thought they seem OK during the test drive. What is the issue with the tires? I'm assuming, since there is a tire campaign, I can replace them latter if I don't like them. I will be replacing the "Flying H" in short order.

Congratulations - that means you have excellent credit.

Seats - on mine, there is a driver seat extension feature which is nice. As far as the rest, I would think there's enough seat variations to please everybody.

The V8 + 8 spd. xmsn makes for smooth acceleration with no flat spots. Along the same line, I didn't think it would do anything close to 0-60 in 5 seconds given the 4500 lb weight, but the engine is so quiet you hardly notice it.

If you are buying new, most if not all dealers are replacing tires before sale.

Simply ask them not to switch before purchasing. It is your choice, not the dealers. Why toss away a set of tires until you tried them?

Great choice! White with beige is the best color combination!

have them do everything before u sign, after your sign u can forget everything they said good bye

What level car is this? Does it have the seat extension? If not, you might want to test drive one that does as it is the best seat I have ever had in any car.

I drove a Signature Package the other day without the extension and found it a bit uncomfortable. I have the extensions on both of my Toyota's. It is a "MUST" for me.

really sest extensions ? I mean, I have them on my 5.0 tech but it's just an afterthought for me. really makes no difference. more ginmicky than anything.

but to the op, did u sign ? car is a bad ass car man.

I find them to be of HUGE benefit. I drive over 40k per year, often times on the road 6-8 hours per day and the seat makes it so much easier to take.

Far from gimmicky for many. Recommended seat length adjusted so that the back of your knees are about 3 - 6 cm (about 1-1/4 to 2-3/8 in) from the front of the seat.

Yesterday I concluded the deal. The vehicle is equipped with the Ultimate package. In the few days I've been driving it, I can see why so many of the members here find it to be, well the Ultimate. A pleasure to drive. I was able to finally get the seat adjusted to my liking and I sat it into memory. The only item that I don't find as good as my Acura TL so far, is the voice command feature. The Acura had considerably more commands and always responded the first time. However, Siri Eyes Free in the Genesis works well. The dealer did change the tires to Michelins before delivery. They claimed they had been at the dealership for sometime, but had never bothered to change to tires. As far as the dealership experience is concerned, it's not up to the local Acura dealer standard. I always had a loaner during servicing, but unlike the local Acura dealership the Hyundai dealership is open on Saturdays. For regular maintenance, that will work out fine. Anyway, happy to be part of the forum. I'm sure I will have a few questions along the way, and as time moves on, I hope to be able to provide answers as well.

Try out the 2nd button over from the left on the Mirror. Works much better than the cars voice command. Google Search but it is tied in with Bluelink which you should have a trial period. It is worth the extra money (once tbe trail period expires) to have this in my opinion. Just press the button and ask it for anyplace you would like to go.

I have not tried any navigation features tied to BlueLink yet. My comment regarding voice command, was actually regarding the level of vehicle integration. On my Acura, I could not only control radio and Nav functions, but also HVAC as well. As far as I can tell, the Genesis does not have that ability to interact with the HVAC system. That being said, it will in no way effect my enjoyment of the car. I've had so many compliments on the car. I can't recall anyone commenting on the Acura TL when I got it.

The Google function works awesome. You can ask it for "Walmart in Denver Colorado" and it will bring up all the Walmarts there even though I am sitting in South Florida. Pretty cool feature to have.

Agreed. The only times I muck around with the menus is when Google Search isn't available.
