  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Genesis Trunk Lid Brake Light Out but found a work around!

Same problem. All the wires were broken or severely frayed. The location was not where the TSB indicated, but rather inside the trunk guide tube, as some others have found as well. A clear design defect that Hyundai should have offered to repair for free. Took me a few hours to splice them all and, since some of the broken wires were the same color, it was impossible to know if they were all mated correctly at the time of repairing.

Another addition to the thread of Hyundai shame...but at the same time a win for the forum. So glad all this was posted so I could quickly resolve the multiple lights & trunk latch malfunctions!
