2015 Sedan 3.8 A/C system problem

Does anyone know what would make the driver's side a/c vents only blow "cool" air while passenger side vents blow "ice cold" air?

Turn of HVAC "SYNC" button and let passenger chose they temperature. That's all you can do.

FYI, if the passenger turns their temp knob, sync automatically shuts off.

I have the "SYNC" button activated. The passenger side vents always blow "ice cold" but driver's side will only blow "cool" and I've tried it both ways; with "SYNC" on and "SYNC" off.
NC". This used to happen only occasionally but now it's all the time.

Probably, the driver's side air temperature door actuator is failing.

My driver's center vent occasionally does something like this - I found that quickly turning the driver's temp way up then turning it back down to the desired temp does the trick...

As to why this works, I haven't a clue.

Maybe it forces the actuator door to move in a greater motion and it frees it up?

Maybe. It beats having "reboot" the car like I used to do...

How did you reboot the car? Just disconnecting the battery for a few minutes? I have the same problem with the driver's side chest height vents blowing warm.

Turn car off, then restart... guess it unsticks the vent flaps when it recycles.

Didn't help unfortunately. Also disconnected the battery and reconnected - that didn't help either. I'll try a last-ditch attempt but I bet it's a faulty blend door actuator or valve and they'll have to take off the whole freaking dash to replace a $70 part.
