Is there anything new on this thread since 2016? I'd like to add Apple CarPlay to my 2015 Genesis. Is it possible?

My Windows 10 Mobile Microsoft Lumia 950 Phone used to connect perfectly to the Genesis DH Ultimate hands free and Cortana would read out, and allow me to reply to, my messages, perfectly. 2015 technology that these days requires a special app in you're car and a 2022 IPhone 13. Android Auto with google is still a basket case, even with high quality handsfree.

There sure is. I just did mine a couple of days ago and I'm still amazed at the things I'm finding. The Android Auto map screen is ridiculously awesome, aside from what I posted in my first post (I'm going to try to link it below) my new favorite view while driving is the real-time satellite imagery with traffic overlaid. The viewing angle itself is now similar to the angle of a 3rd-person video game my music player of choice (Pandora/Amazon/SiriusXM) also display at the bottom of the map display. I'm still shocked at the difference in functionality and graphics. The single upgrade updates both your Nav maps and the entire UI software for the touchscreen. I'll never use the actual Nav maps supplied by Hyundai again after seeing the Android Auto maps. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the process.

Very nice write up and I’d love to try it however I have AU/NZ model and pretty sure this might screw it, would love to see this update done on NZ version

When I got my 2015 5.0 (tech package) I couldn't install Car Play, and had to get a new radio (under warranty). Alas, it has a problem with calls on Car Play, so I never use it.
