  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Here is exact wording:

•Radio and audio systems (i.e., radio, compact disc player, DVD player, navigation system and Bluetooth®): for MY 15 and prior, 3 years/36,000 miles—Equus: 5 years/60,000 miles
•Radio and audio systems (i.e., radio, compact disc player, DVD player, navigation system and Bluetooth®): for MY 16, 5 years/60,000 miles for all models

Great news for Hyundai's future! I like it!!!

Now, about all of us here who've had to buy extended warranties to get this peace of mind.... Some here would say "piece" of mind.

I don't mind paying extra to have everything covered for 10 years. (I drive less than 10,000 a year)

I'll probably drive the car until I'm dead.

I doubt that, not against your Genesis.;)

Anyway, back to topic.
It must be the first in the automobile industry to offer such warranties.
How about KIA?
Would it follow suit soon?

Great news!
May improve residual values.
May allow leasing extensions without the liability of audio/head unit.
May even create new niches for leasing: 48 and 60 months.

and, theoretically, may reduce the cost of extended warranty.

Good for us AND the brand!

Wish they would extend this warranty to the safety electronics as well. It seems like this would fill the last big hole for anyone wanting to hang on to their car for up to five years.
